  • No. This is not Bellini nor is it Donizetti. Even Caruso does not allow himself this kind of phrasing, and you can argue that Caruso is "not in style"...

  • Wonderful!

  • I saw Dmitri in the final of Young Cardiff singer of the world years ago -he won-Have a look at Alexander rybek who won this years eurovision-in love with a fairytale- he put me in mind of Dmitri n that day,so much- the same thrilling energetic joyful presence with warmth humour and pathos- and confidence in the knowledge that they are something very special-and so good to look at ,they're so alike,in features too! with wonderful expressive eyes,I fell in love wit t heat presence decades apart

  • The gamut of harmonics in his sound is staggering, and collectively form one of the great vocal instruments of all time. Whomever he may NOT be, he is, unmistakeably, the great Dimitri Hvorostovsky, unique and as precious to the world of voice as the Kreutzer Strad is to the world of violin.
