  • Orchid, Dead Leaf, and Unicorn!

  • @Mantidinsectworld What types of Mantises are available (or native) to the US? The Orchid and the dead leaf cannot be owned in the U.S unfortunately, but I dont want the regular green mantis. Its too dull, and I cannot find the answeres I need on other websites. Thanks

  • be careful they can eat each other

  • Amazing. Love em. How would you break it up if the attacked each other?

  • Shall I get a ghost (PP) mantis or a dead leaf (DD) mantis?

  • @Andyfrog321 Both!!

  • They really trust you, not to attack like that lol

  • nice mantids! can you reccomend a nice species that wouldnt need daily misting and youd only need to feed every three days or less? im not picky on sizes or colours

  • @hediwg99 Hierodula or Sphodromantis species apply, read up on them and see if you like.

  • Three mantises from three different continents eh?

    This is really cool.

  • Have you ever accidently squished one of your insects?

  • @dooder39 yep

  • they had a goliath tarantula at the zoo here a week ago... scarily big

  • do they all belong to the same species ? Cause they are just standing next to each other like it's cool lol

  • @G0odf3lla Nope they're 3 different species from 3 different continents. But they don't mind eachother there. best not try this with a other certain species though..

  • @gallan30 Okay, thanks for the informations :)

  • Where do you order your mantids?

  • They are awesome, I love the orchid mantis I cant wait until mine are bigger so I may record them better. Ordered a violin mantis the other day, should get that tomorro =D

  • @6LeggedFriendsnCo Awesome that you have them, Hymenopus Is, like other flower mantids, One of the funnest to watch species for sure. And I like violin mantids, I had them.. but they are kind of dumb sometimes. Prey can be sitting on their faces and they wont do anything and make sure you have A LOT of climbing possibilities at the sides of the enclosure because they tend to fall and often try to climb up at the sides which they have no grip on.. lol.

  • @gallan30 haha! Its because they have such an elongated body. So funny, and therapuetic in a way when you watch them. I have plenty of artificial foliage, twigs and branches im gonna be using in its environment, so excited.

Do you still have any of these species?

  • Such amazing creatures they are, and your so young. :) But you have great knowledge with them. ^^ I am glad that you are infact a bug fanatic. :) I love watching your videos.

  • @Nyuukamasuki Thank you, And I'll continue making videos.. the only thing holding me back at the moment is having no good camera but Its likely I will get a HD one in a few months
