the girls of the very early Disney fairytales were all so dependable. today, we have Princess Tiana, who is the everyday, hardworking and independent beauty who eventually became a Princess due to meeting the right guy in an unfortunate situation lol i just want 2D animation back and they should make more films for guys too like they did with Aladdin, Hercules, Tarzan, etc.

I swear that Tiana's dad kind of looks like John Henry, from the animated movie with the different folktales.

The bad guy somehow reminds me of Rasputin from Anastasia, too.

Plot kind of bugs me, though. Years ago, likely before this was even thought of, I read this book called "The Princess Frog". If you haven't read it, I can tell you that it's about a princess, who kisses a frog prince, and turns into a frog herself. It just kind of bugs me. Looks like a good movie, though, I'll admit it.

@AkeelaPyro I'm pretty sure the film was officially based on that book, although they made a lot of changes. The original title of the film was "The Frog Princess".

she's my new fave she's makes a princess a princess not cinderella not Aurora nor snow white she's like the black version of belle, Ariel, jasmine and mulan put together i love her she doesn't wait for a prince to sweep her off her feet

@bunnycheerleader well ya duh, in the early Disney princess movies, Ex: Snow White, Cinderella, And Sleeping Beauty they all did the talking and the singing then later with The Little Mermaid, I don't think really really early Disney even considered the idea of a different talking a singing voice that came with later beginning with Belle

Kinda silly and sentimental, but I nearly cried in the theatre, just thinking about Tiana...

I'm 21, and I've always loved Disney Princess films. I collect them, on DVD. And now, finally, there's one that looks like me... It wasn't a big deal until I saw her on that big screen, and she was beautiful and amazing. I wanted to burst into tears, but I didn't wanna be the weird girl crying during happy scenes! lol
