  • it's a damn good movie! based on true story of world's best conflict photographer Kevin Carter, Ken Oosterboek (RIP) and friends! 4 stars!

  • I saw it, and is pretty good.

  • hey i remember that , did the photographer won an award & killed himself bcoz of that photo?

  • @truebluebadmintonero No. Too much pressure from the guilt. They saw hundreds of assasanations and never try to do something, just inform to the world waht was happening. The guilt kill him. That happends to many war photographers. Sry my spellig.

  • niggers ..

  • @TheNoobishGamer Wow, people like u need to grow up or kill yourselves

  • malin akerman>>>>

  • I'm so glad it was made in my country South Africa!

  • Best movie I have seen in a very long time. Really good acting and the accents aren't half bad. I think that if you haven't seen it, you shouldn't comment.

  • Another Holywood movie shot by a greedy jewish director who turned a serious story into a melodram for teens and frustated housewives to make sure to fill up theaters

  • Kevin carter is my favourite photographer of all time i NEED to see this!

  • Wow looks cool, although this will just intensify the racial hate currently blazing in South Africa. IMO this video was made too soon. Apartheid is still being taken extremely serious by a shit load of activists and this will just increase their hate. It still looks like a cool movie though. I heard only person who could do a South African accent, which is a shame

  • @SeriousPlastiek it's funny how many assumptions and conclusions you've already come to on a movie you've not seen yet.

  • Instead of defending south africa againgst the jungle those cowards are walking around taking pictures...

  • Another movie about apartheid, the bad white south africans.can someone make a movie about the 3000 farm murders done by blacks to whites?I think that would possibly too horrific to watch in the cinema. This is a movie that makes Americans and the English feel like heroes for saving the day. Thanks alot guys, South Africa is officially a shithole. And the accents are bullshit too, practice next time Ryan.

  • @grgrl1986 Wow you really think this movie is depicting that? You haven't seen the film yet. Way to draw tons of assumptions off nothing.

  • Is this the movie about the Italian photographer that got shot while getting closer on a shooting to take a pic and died?? If it is trailer loks good

  • Not a bad job on the South African accents. Sound just like my buddy from Johannesburg and his dad from Rhodesia.

  • this movie looks amazing

  • uhm.. yeah .. im south african and we dont sound like that =?

  • Now this is something good among all the trash coming out.

  • 1:25 track name pls

  • @Thesajlem Vengeful Return by David Wesley

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Taylor Kitsch looks like a perfect substitute for Heath Ledger to play as a Joker in a new Batman movie @ 1:47?

  • this looks like something worth watching

  • i think this film is gonna get nominated for oscar at least

  • nice to see ryan phillippe again..

  • resident evil 5 with gambit COOL

  • why is it that every time i watch a vid, their are always couple of patriotic junkies who is trying to debate about race, terror and political affairs, like you guys are doing anything meaningful with ur life. instead sitting and proving other people wrong with ur own theories. Like i dont get enough bullshit from the rectangular box in my living room.

  • WOOH

  • Ignorance pays taxes "Aerensic"!

I worked as a foreign correspondent along with this group of photojournalists and they were not only brave and talented but treasured and nurtured byt this apartheid victims.

It was exactly because of the level of violence that they reported at the expense of their own lifes that artpeidh was removed.

And, by the way, I would love to see you "helping him/her" (as you mention) when hundreds of thughs (or impis) burn or hack to death somebody...

  • this looks soooo good

  • spoiler: he commited suicide in deep regret that he photographed a boy eaten by vultures instead of carrying him to an evac less than a mile away.

  • looks promising

  • It feels like the whole trailer consists of Ryan and Taylor using a camera.

SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP

  • Photographer who madea recording of that poor child is turned away and went and did not help him, for the image received a high award for the best photo I think the Pulitzer, then committed suicide

  • 0.33 best part of the trailer!!!

  • For all of you thinking that it's bs for its "true events" tag, it's not 100% lies. Some of these things ACTUALLY happened including the part with the now famous picture of a starving child and the vulture

  • Paparazzi for conflicts, wars, 1 man gains on many pains.

  • This is hella interesting

  • Looks interesting

  • the title sounds like a stupid comedy movie but its actually an awesome film lol

  • rocket launcher! HURRAY!!!!

  • Pulizer prize 1994 was taken by Kevin Carter in southern Soudan. He took a break from the South Africa turmoil to report on the Soudan civil war and famine. Kevin Carter died in July 1994 at age 33.

  • 0:33 fellow perverts

  • 0:33

  • looks good

  • im from South Africa and all i can say is what you see in this film is a total load of utter shit! based on true events huh??? based very loosely at best!

  • 0:17 Heath Ledger??..

  • @tarnim10 It's Earth Day. :)

  • I'm gunna go see this movie just so I can close my eyes and basically hear camera shutters and people screaming.

  • "I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain ... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners...I have gone to join Ken if I am that lucky. The Last words of Ken carter before he killed himself. This is what war does to the Human psyche

  • This is based on a true story of 4 war time photographers who formed the "Bang Bang" club . Kevin Carter shot the famed picture of a vulture sitting to eat a dying baby, he committed suicide a few months later. Ken oosterbroek was killed by a stray bullet by the peacekeeping force. Silva got both his legs blown off by a landmine. Kevin and Ken, both won the Pulitzer prize for their coverage on war. A sad story indeed

  • @TheTicktickboom there were 2 photographers, 1 English and 1 American, killed in a mortar strike in Libya pretty much at the same time this come out, just think it was bad timing

  • the title sounds like a porn movie :D

  • @TheTicktickboom two photojournalists have just died in Libya, and two other are wounded in what was believed to be a mortar attack.. it's a sad day..

  • looks good

  • @jacobwhite7666 Smooth

  • wow......meet the reality dude....

  • Gonna be a fkn good movie

  • Looks great #LOL

  • no offense

but most people i met so far and dont't sit about whats hapenning outside of the U.S

i won't hate them for that but they keep throwing comments about things they don't even know about

will not everyone :P so don't take it that way

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

the movie seemes aboout this guy

    i can't really plam him

the photo was harsh and that was his range of work to take a picture of the momment he seen but it's just cruel

  • Stop trying to sell us this "based on a true events" bullshit

  • @wigwambam So what do they sell you when it is based on true events?, do a little research, educate yourself, this group of photographers really existed.

  • @TheWelshComic its not the exact same tho, its reenaced. A shame , the original one is much more impressive.

  • Blood Diamond and District 9 much???

  • @BionicleTV21 Nothing like them, they had a lot more action / Thriller.. this is just hard hitting drama

  • Comment removed

  • thats the guy from Breach

  • Egoistic movie.

You think it's funny if you work as a photographer.

  • did this not just happened to a oscar nominated photograph some days ago ? he was executed in lybia I think

  • The theme looks like original ! Finally

  • Oh awesome,

if this is the true story about the guy who made the picture at 1:11

then I will now spoil the story.

THE MAN COMMITS SUICIDE ON THE END.

(cuz that happened in real life)

  • @Zeprit you're an asshole, aswell as rest of the guys who spoiled it

  • i thought hanna montana gonna pop up

  • In SOME countries you would be sentenced to death to watch and photo someone burning alive instead of helping him/her

  • @Aerensiniac and in china you would be sentenced to death if you helped someone

  • @OfficialTilenTomazic

And you imply that that is the right thing to do...

Sure. In the end you could say that the ultimate peace could be achieved only after we launched all of our nukes.

I urge you to move to china and work on that. I mean while not helping others.

  • @Aerensiniac Really? Which ones?

  • @Aerensiniac and sm coutries play you money to photo someone burning.

  • @Aerensiniac bullshit

  • @chigeh sup nigga? hailing from middle africa i see

  • @Aerensiniac

It's not that easy, try watching movies such as "The Devil Came on Horseback" and "Shake Hands with the Devil" and you'll find out why.

  • Taylor Kitsch is finally in a new movie!

  • 0:31

  • edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/04/20/libya.journalists/index.html

  • Seems like a good movie, only needs a different name!

  • Change the world? everything seems the same still

  • Animals, indeed.

  • Seems like an ok movie :o

  • SKIP

  • Bad timing because there's something like this happening over there right now? If that's what you people mean, then shit, this movie would never be able to come out. People need to see how barbaric they are to their own people over in some of those African countries. I understand that terrorists are the main theme right now, but the world shouldn't be ignoring the barbarians in Africa and this stuff happens 24/7 over there.

  • @L0zz0 they're not barbarians a barbarian is a person who is uncivilized. These poeple are civilized just in they're own way becasue of the culture that they grew up in

  • @sargentlime a barbarian is someone who acts uncivilized. they act uncivilized. next time you read a definition, read the whole definition.

  • @L0zz0 stfu its a movie

  • @KurdaC aww did i hit a nerve /emocry

  • @L0zz0 naaaww sorry, i didnt mean to make u all defensive, here, hav a cookie, it'll make u less ignorant =')

  • @KurdaC yeeesh looks like you could use a book on comebacks and how to properly use them. I know a 4 yr old who does the same thing and it's just the cutest.

  • @L0zz0 look, what u do in ur spare time with 4 yr olds is ur own thing, but relating the video, ur still too ignorant to realize why ur comment is ridiculous =)

  • @KurdaC Incorrect use of the word ignorant, but at least you're trying right? Didn't get that book on comebacks yet I see. Check Amazon or Borders and look for "Insults and Comebacks for All Occasions." I'm sure you'll find it an amazing read.

  • @L0zz0 uhhm no i actually used it in the right context, you see, ur ignorant, coz u think that terrorists r the main "theme" right now, obviously u dnt know about whats happening in japan

  • @KurdaC lol Japan? What country are you in that's having that still all over its news? BTW a MAIN theme is an overlapping theme, since you don't seem to know words very well. Japan was not an on-going MAIN theme. Maybe I told you the wrong book to get lol.

  • @L0zz0 u obviously dnt know that media stops information and covers it up with, oh iunno, the royal wedding or masterchef fucking shit, japan is fucking sinking dude, africa has got its own problems and everyone knows, people barely know anything about the aftermath of the tsunami, and terrorists are not the main theme, people r too worried about the end of the world bullshit

  • @KurdaC LOL! If terrorist aren't the main theme then you should seriously contact all the news outlets in the world out there and tell them to stop talking about them every single day and to move on to whatever you consider the "main theme" to be right now. No one is worried about the end of the world today idiot. Now I understand your issue. You're one of those nut jobs that things the world is ending in 2012 or some goofy ass thing like that. I can see now that you are obviously off your meds.

  • @L0zz0 wow, u r really r stubborn, obviously u didnt see me say end of the world "bullshit" so u dnt pay attention to anything, also, the "main theme", is the royal wedding, again, u didnt notice my fucking comment u half wit, im just gonna guess and say ur american, i dnt care if ur not, coz it doesnt matter, ur just as stubborn and thick as one of them... oh, and our news stations havnt talked about terrorism since last year, just so u know

  • @KurdaC No I read all of your silly comments. If your news stations haven't mentioned terrorism since last year (a complete lie on your part, prove me wrong and give me their number so I can all them and ask) then you need to fire your news teams. The very fact you mentioned the end of the world junk like japan sinking (lol) proves that you're that gullible. I've seen all of 30 mins of the wedding where I live (not saying where because it's hilarious to watch you make an ass out of yourself.)

  • @KurdaC P.S. Main Themes, since you STILL haven't looked that up, last longer then a week or 2. Get on with your life and look around you more.

  • @KurdaC Omg, I usually wont bother looking at a persons channel, but wow. I now realize why I've not gotten through to you. LOL! I'd have more of chance convincing a turnip it can walk. So there's no point in continuing this conversation with the likes of someone like you.

  • @L0zz0 im not sure i understand how u realized to get through to me?

  • is this is parody to the "City of God" Movie??

  • Bad Timing Award goes to Bang Bang Club!

  • garbage

  • So they're actually risking their lives to take a few pics...

  • wow, I remember writing a reaction paper for my photography class for Kevin Carter's photo...I can't wait to watch this.

  • @trentWHY yeah it does, but maybe tomorrow or the next its just too soon

  • "I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain ... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners...I have gone to join Ken if I am that lucky."

  • Even if that guy committed suicide...I still don't like him for leaving the child starving and at the edge of becoming food for a vulture. Fuck him...

  • @CrazyGrin - why was it his job when the kid's family were just out of shot? Read a little more...

  • @uChakide b/c it's morality that should have struck him more, and if the family left the baby to be there dying, then he SHOULD have done something

  • @CrazyGrin - the family was 15 meters away, resting.

  • @uChakide so what? this sounds worse, it's like they were leaving the kid to die (sounds like it) and the guy should still have done something (regardless of anything you say that the family did or didn't do)

  • @CrazyGrin - The family were right there and the GROUP including the little girl continued their trek after the photo was taken. I can appreciate the moral debate, but it is very easy to take the high ground from a comfortable chair in a secure environment. Kevin Carter had, till that day, seen hundreds of equally and even more haunting scenes and he made a decision in the moment. Was it the right one? Who knows, but what we can't do is condemn him without having ALL the facts.

  • @uChakide Well, we sure as hell can't condemn him...but it sure does say a lot about him committing suicide.

  • @CrazyGrin - oh please that is a ridiculous statement and you know it. The man had witnessed things that would make you wet your bed and you think it was this incident alone that pushed him over the edge? Tell me how well and adjusted you would be if you witnessed men and women have burning tyres placed around their necks, innocents caught up in gun fights where kids were often the victims . The world is not black and white and it is very easy to pass judgement from your privileged view point!

  • @uChakide Privilege? This may sound corny, but you don't know me. You also don't know him. I care not for what he saw since he stayed there in his own free will. As far as I remember, suicide is also your own choice to make. Good bye, don't talk to me again.

  • @CrazyGrin - Who's making assumptions now, I may not have known him but I did meet him on a few occasions and yes I do consider living in a first world a privileged existence. Over and out.

  • wow this movie looks amazing, hard to find movies like these these days as most movies are those cliche boring trashes made only for money for morons who's only into big explosions and ugly chicks

  • damn...i like this...

  • good white man saves blackman from evel blackman

  • 1:11 I had no idea it's about the guy who took that photo!!

  • i now want to see it just cuz of that picture of that little kid with the vulture
