I had the camera in a lunch plastic bag. And it still didn't work for a few hours. I wish I brought my waterproof, crush proof Olympus camera though.

So, how high was that sand dune & were you holding the cam?

I was holding the camera. It was a wide angle lens. The Sand dune was a 100 yard hike from the bottom to the top. So about 60 yards in height.
