  • the new owners did a great job in the restoration.

  • wow!

  • I LIKED IT BETTER WHEN IT WAS DARK, DIRTY, ROTTEN AND FULL OF TWO WOMEN WITH GREAT CHARACTER; NOT SOME MANHATTAN YUPPIE-NEW MONEY BITCH AND HER POCKET GAY QUEEN IN PINSTRIPES FAGHANDLING THE CHINA

  • "Until mankind embraces compassion for all living things, he shall never know peace." As one wise sage stated.

  • He is a bit over the top, why doesn't he make an offer on the property !

  • The house is beautiful very impressive and the pool is great, but it all chage in this time tha't why the house stills spectacular cause nothig is like the 30's right now.

  • Why is there a pool? Is there really a pool before the new owner?

  • @cute07nm Sally Quinn put in the pool. The Beales didn't have a pool or tennis courts.

  • I don't know about those chaise lounges against the fire place...

  • Sally's got a wicked case of dry mouth, little water here?

  • What about the animals they so loved?????????

  • What happened to all the kitties and other animals who called Grey manor home???????????????

  • @FriedrichKling Are you serious? Did you really expect the new owners to keep it in uninhabitable conditions with animals shitting all over the place?

  • @tfutrell000 In the normal world 2 + 2 = 4. I asked about the condition of their beloved pets and said nothing about the habitability of the home, numnuts.

  • @FriedrichKling It was over 30 years ago, I'm sure it is safe to assume that the pets have all died.

  • @tfutrel000 Your response to my comment is so dumb it defies imagination.

  • @FriedrichKling Well, I'm going to go out on a very long limb and guess that the cats were picked up by the pound. The raccoons were probably exterminated, as most people don't consider them pets.

  • Edie would CHOKE.

  • IT'S HORRIBLE! SO TYPICAL, SO AVERAGE. IT LOOKS LIKE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING MAGAZINE. ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL

  • what the hell did they do to the front porch? It has been enlarged or something unfortunately it has lost some of the nice architectural details ( the rounded tops of the columns)- well at least they saved it - I think the way the decoration of the "original" state of the house as portrayed in the film is MUCH more tasteful than the way the current owners have muddled it up- it looks like someone threw up a box of pastels all over the house-

  • It's great to see that Sally and her husband came in and saved Grey Gardens, it could have been demolished but they brought it back to life.

  • I read a few years ago that the owners were offering up Grey Gardens to rent for a week… for something in the neighborhood of $30,000. If I were fresh off a lottery win, I’d be the first to lay down the cash for that kind of opportunity.

  • The place looks stunning. I hope the current owners have many fabulous years enjoyment from such a beautiful part of history. May little Edie pirouette through the hall and gardens with her head scarf on .

  • What a beautiful transformation----though, It makes me feel sad that Little Edie and her mother had to live in it when it was so awful and couldn't have it like it is now. :(

  • @harrylove1001 ~ when i watched the Grey Gardens remake with Drew Barrymore, it did appear that Jackie O did renovate the home for the Edies while they were still living there. I can imagine that after the renovation, while still living there, the Edies might not have kept it up and, therefore, the estate again became delapidated.

  • @harrylove1001 They liked it better like an episode of Hoarders!

  • Love this house. I was hypnotized!

  • "...All it needs is a fresh coat of paint!"

Yup, that sounds like Little Edie :)

  • What a lovely video ... thanks for sharing.

  • The old woman was Lois Wright. Lois has a local tv show in East Hampton called the Lois Wright Show. She wrote a book about when she lived with the Beales for a short while called My Life at Grey Gardens. My hubby and his brother were the plumbers that Big Edie called when she needed anything.

  • Who was the old lady that Sally was talking about and where did she come from?

  • Family Dog (Dalmation) Headstone Inscription: SPOT BEALE / - A DOG - / A NOBLER GENTLEMAN NEVER LIVED / BELOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM / DIED MAY 29 1942

  • I am so very proud and thankful that Sally's life crossed paths with Little Edie's and for the beautiful job she and her husband have done in the gigantic task of Grey Gardens' complete restoration. I absolutely love the fact that she both chose

and managed to salvage most, if not all, of the original furnishings. Just

another fascinating piece to the unbelievable and gorgeous puzzle that is ~Grey

    Gardens~!

Happy Holidays 2010 to the ever-growing ~ Grey Gardens ~ family!

  • How wonderful, I LOVE IT!! What a fantastic job the Quins did! I wonder if one or both of the Edie's roam the halls or sit on the back porch that BE loved so much?

Thank you so much for sharing this with all the Edie fans and there are many of us dying to get one more new tidbit to watch, hear or read.
