Why, if I may ask, is it being called "The Tide?"...That sounds too much like something close to alabama, and trust me, this state doesn't have the moxie or the vision to implement something like this...Is it still on schedule to be completed in early 2010?
If ever I find myself in Norfolk, I will definitely ride! Good luck with this, great of your city to show some real consideration for your transit patrons, won't happen here, that's for sure.
yea im real surprised too Indianapolis doesnt even hav the plans to build one, Little Rock, AK is getting one! cities as big and smaller than Indy r getting systems. they r popping up evrywhere our government needs 2 step up on this im sick of it our mayor says no1 would ride it when they ride the shuttle bus evry day! and hav 2 turn ppl down. Its just sad.
@nbtrainlvr94 We do have a plan in action. The referendum just needs to pass the State Congress and it's a "Pay to Play" deal, so only the communities involved pay taxes (which are surprisingly minimal). It's called Indy Connect. There's videos of it here on YouTube or you can go to wwwDOTindyconnectDOTorg.
Belated Congratulations, Norfolk!
