I personally picked the peavey over the ampeg...those ampeg combos have reliability issues and i don't think they sound as good...and this combo packs quite a punch.I play in a trio, my guitarist uses a 120watt solid state 212 combo and my drummer hits hard enough to go through a pair of sticks in 2-3 songs and it keeps up at about 80% volume. The EQ is kinda numb but it still offers alot of tonal possibilities. And lets add that peaveys shit is indestructible.
@dumapies No offense but this actually not that good, you posted it for feedback so dont be offended by my opinion, its very twangy and hollow, the strings are more prevalent hitting the frets than the notes are.bass solo's are tuff to pull of even with the seasoned player, work on your actual playing technique insted of sounding like a guitarist trying to play bass, chords are not the easiest thing to get away with, they take a fair amount of skill to play them in a lead role, TECHNIQUE FIRST.
pretty cool
