@MelvinWren nah! this video is lame, sound quality is awful and the scratching is just stupid.

I want this record bad, is there a place I can buy it?

That picture of a billboard at about 1:15: that can't be an original. JB looks from about 1980.
Thanx 4 this great post from a great artist.

yeh, its not at all a proper marva tune, just generic cabaret tune written in by some hit factory person, well, thats the impression
anything that is of real marva and the soul funk sound, is stripped bear from this... so sad many felt they had to jumop thru those hoops..
it fails to become soul at that level, a mere technical exercise

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, seriosuly, no idea.
This is a gem fool.

@gnowave
hmm, i just got told that i dont know what am talking about!
what is r&b/soul/soul-funk without grit and sweat? it is working class dance/p[arty/struggle music!, though i'd happily use this tune to humorously wine and dine a lady with.

Afraid I have to agree. This one's nice, but the Connie arrangement is exquisite.

That black & white picture at 1:30 is NOT Marva Whitney, it's Betty Davis.
Please do this over. If you don't know who Betty Davis is, look her up. She's the funkiest of them all!!!
