  • Captivating version from the days when this tune was brand new! Ambrose almost swings in the tempo! I have the Ted FioRito version on Brunswick, peppered with those clomping temple blocks! Ambrose tunes had finese! This was a pleasure!

  • AHHHHHH!!! SWEET!!! Ambrose Orchestra Must have came Straight down from HEAVEN!!!

  • Delightful version, those Ambrose Regal Zonophones rarely turn up,

  • Lovely.

  • Class

  • Nothing beats that haunting sound of a scratchy record and a magnificent tune.

  • Excellant version. When did Ambrose have his spell on Brunswick i wonder, about 1933 wasnt it?

  • March 1933 to June 1934, and previous to this association a couple of sides for them in 1927and 1928.

  • A "pun" on words - nice tune....I don't know if the term Weeping Willow is still use tho.

  • In my language it is still used, exactly: willow (wierzba), weeping (płacząca).

  • @HarborGuy it's a kind of tree. there are regular willows and weeping willows.

  • @glennmiller2005 - I knew that ! Mmost Willows are called "weeping willows" I said it was a "pun" use of words referring to the song which is an old favorite.

  • This is just a THRILL for me to find the song I LOVE still in one more (unknown so far) rendition.

    Due treasures.

  • So full of melancholy and yet so beautiful.

  • I fully agree! This is wonderful. I Might have a look if I can find still another beautiful one.
