Hypermotard is a goodlooking and strong bike.

But its not as strong or as fun as an Aprilia SXV.

It sounds awfull (yeah...a ducati V2 with termignoni exhausts CAN sound awfull),

And I d choose the KTM Suped Duke over it anytime...well I d choose the 690 over it anytime.

Bike magazine agrees with you. Wrt the Aprilia scaring the shit out of me? Mate, I ride a Gixxer1k, and have a race license sooooo yeah, I doubt it! Lol! I realize that the SXV has a great power/wt ratio but absolutely, its not that powerful. Further, its not as practical as the HM or the BMW Megamoto; the KTM is nice but not as comfy long-dist.

I ve riden 1000cc SS's even GSXR 750 and SS 600cc. I was novice at the time and I really couldn t even take turns but I could handle the power and have a normal ride.

The SXV I couldn t handle it. At the first stoplight my hands were shaking.Willies with 2 gears up I tried so hard to give it full gas and never made it even in huge straights.

I am telling you, go for it, it is an interesting expenience to ride it.Slightly tuned.
