ahh ahh where's that old music? now trying to be satisfied with a music machine, now we do not have soul music in the 80 s it was not so, all the music came from the depth of the soul
@orikeli Although the best (in my opinion) from Metallica were from the 80's, they would only became commercially popular in the early 90's (Black Album, 1990/1991)
I was born in '82, And by the time I realized how cool this muzic was it was already too late! I was at the end of an incredible era, if only i was old enough to booze and get some coke im sure I would have had a nice Camero, GTO, or Trans Am and would have really lived the fuck out of this era. I hope I can reincarnate in '75, since 'history repeats itself".
Yeah, the 80s were great and their music very versatile and varied. But let's face (or admit) it: there also was a lot of cr*p out there, many bands or singers who were one-hit wonders and many who shelled out flop after flop after flop. The decade was in this respect not different from earlier or later ones. Music develops, so do we (well, most of us).
To me 80's means morethan just the decade the song came out, it means a style of English "new music" with synths and strong beats like Depeche Mode, the first songs here sucked so bad I killed the video.
I graduated high school in 84. I was part of the hippest cliques in So. Cal., familiar with the best new music from all around the world. That said. It's plain this is utter BS. You don't have a clue what was going on in the 80's.
I see that now music just speaks about how much money they have or cheating on girls, or wannna be gangsters. Back then it was just about having fun, music's dead as of today:(
Anybody who doesn't like 80s music is either brain dead or tone dead!! If you want to see the BEST performance EVER then just watch Freddy Mercury at the Live Aid Concert in 85 - THE GREATEST SHOWMAN AT THE GREATEST GIG.

@PaulRijnsburg no you are not my friend..:) my dad used to tell me about this period, when he used to study in america and how the world used to be back at these days and i really got excited from that moment! I really believe it was the best time period:)
@PaulRijnsburg you dont know how many times Ive seen that posted on 80's type music and glam rock videos ... you know I was there when it happened and it was amazing .....even tho life was personally difficult at the time ...I thot to myself that the music was just getting better and better ...I couldnt believe where it might go ... how dissappointing to see where it actually went .... the music is junk and has such a negative enetertainment value to it ... never thot we would regress ..
@PaulRijnsburg uhm.. if you're born 20 years earlier u r born in the 90's so u wont even experience the 80's so i think u meant u wish to be born 30-40 years earlier :)
@PaulRijnsburg Dude, we're in the same boat. LOL I wish i was born in the 70's to enjoy the 80's <3 :D all the true ROCK LEGENDS lived (&unfortunantly died) in the 80's :(

I am looking for an 80's(I think) song and I don't know the name or artist :( The only thing I can tell you is that the singer in the song sounds like he is mumbling(yes mumbling). I heard it a few times on the radio and now it's stuck in my head and I don't know what I am looking for. Please help...
@Outermainstream I wish I could help you but you will need to give us some more clues about this song. Perhaps a line that you can write down next time you hear it. The singer cannot just be mumbling throughout the song, correct?
Thanks for your interest. I know how the rhythm of the music goes but I don't have a piano nor do I know how to upload videos. Also It comes on the radio like once a season so that makes it more difficult lol
eminem did toy soldiers.

Can someone help me? I am looking for an 80's(I think) song and I don't know the name or artist :( The only thing I can tell you is that the singer in the song sounds like he is mumbling(yes mumbling). I heard it a few times on the radio and now it's stuck in my head and I don't know what I am looking for. Please help...

@Outermainstream I wish I could help you but you will need to give us some more clues about this song. Perhaps a line that you can write down next time you hear it. The singer cannot just be mumbling throughout the song, correct?

@gal80s
Thanks for your interest. I know how the rhythm of the music goes but I don't have a piano nor do I know how to upload videos. Also It comes on the radio like once a season so that makes it more difficult lol
