@Sford0dude5 Why do you all jump on the chance to put down Justin Bieber? 54 people. Gosh, just cuz it's online & you get to be anonymous & you've never met him doesn't mean these words don't count. You all are jerks.
My daughter has two. They're her babies. So far, they just cheep at us on rare occasion. Granted, when they're old enough to mate, I'm SURE we'll be hearing "Buddy" singing all night *lol*
@ColbyKang you are quite incorrect. the pacific tree frog has sticky pads on fingers and toes and belongs to the genus pseudacris in the family hylidae, which is tree frogs and chorus frogs. please look it up
I created a site, showmyreptile com, where you can upload pics, videos, start discussions, chat w/ other members, and start groups. Looking for members, would love for you to join. Thanks!
This is supposed to be the loudest frog in North America and I love them! Amazing little creatures they are quite resiliant, but even they are threatened by habitat encroachment and acid rains. Sad.
@violentJ678 Most likely get an infection and die. Amphibians are quite good at resisting disease...provided there are no breaks in their skin. Even the tiniest little cut can spell their doom if it isn't thoroughly cared for, and when speaking of wild specimens like this little bugger, then obviously no one's caring for them. So basically, don't ever, ever do that.
These guys live in the Pacific Northwest. not just on the coast but inland as far as parts of Montana, Idaho and Nevada. and they stretch from the southern part of Canada down into Mexico
arent they illegal to keep?? i got two tadpoles yesterday "found em in a puddle with thousands of others" and dont know what kind they are this frog is my local frog type though not shure if it is this or not......................................
dont worry about it i have 5 for over three months now and i talked to a fish and game officer about it and he didnt carei have some videos too check em out
These frogs are native where I live. One year we kept four of them captive(in an awsome vivarium). They croaked almost every night. I really miss them. They are very hearty frogs, not messy, and easy to care for(just keep their water very, very clean).
haha great vid i'm using this to make the frogs in my pond croak more. i put my computer speakers up to the window and play this and they start croaking to compete. funny.
Im making a song for a friend who LOVES frogs, imma put this sound in it. thanks!

I hear these every so often around my house in western washington. I have heard them croak like this while 15 feet off the ground in a tree.
VideyoJunkei 2 years ago
Haha, it'd be funny if any frog croaked like this one, and popped itself away like a balloon. Makes you wonder, too.
nuskigirl 2 years ago
Lovely sound indeed and it´s amazing that this frog didn´t let himself disturbed by you while the croaking. ^^
