It isn't possible for there to be an infinite amount of time before now because if that held true, this (whatever you want to call it; life; the universe; whatever, really) would be eternal, and we live in a world which is ruled by time. Time/space must have had a beginning somewhere and no matter how you choose to think it came into existence, whether 6,000 or 60 billion years, time is temporal, meaning it had a beginning. You can't count down to infinity: That is an informal fallacy!

What you're saying here is a complete slap to the face in regards to the concept of integration -- summing up an infinite amount of infinitesimal pieces to create a finite amount. If we apply that to our daily lives we will find out that we are currently in the 2010th year past 1a.D, and so 1a.D. becomes our "moment zero". But there were still other years before that. They are called b.C. And that "b.C." could symbolically be replaced by the "-" used in math. Memento: everything is relative. And no apples for you.

Corret me if I'm wrong but based on your claim you seem to thing that time is negative. That is possible if you for example were to observe the movement of an object through time using a watch, the starting point or point zero an object travels negative units of time. However time can not be negative because according to einstein time was the fourth dimension and time was able to slow down and even stop.But not "negative".

I don't think Venom's argument is, that there is no infinity, just that there isn't infinity of time in the past. If you were able to fly through the roof, you could fly forever, and it would still apply to Venom's theory. Cause you flying through the roof for infinity, would be infinity forward in time, and then you couldn't possibly ever reach your bedroom again.

Lets look at the concept of infinitesimal distance: Current Math will tell you that 1 divided by infinity is zero.
I disagree with this, simply because 0+0+0 never gets you back. The proper answer is 0.000...001
So there may very well be two kinds of infinity- one that is an enumeration, and one that is not.

its funny how people use god to explain anything they dont understand... like yesterday in my math class some kid didnt understand the number theory and he said, "This is incomprehnisble, there must be a God!"

In your metafore: Let's say there are people in that infinitily high plane. How could they have gotten there? Because it's the point of reference we're talking about. His point: Infinite years ago, today was infinite years ahead, yet here we are. The point of infinite doesnt mean u wont reach a random point, just that u wont reach the ending point

Guys you don't understand that religion is a sanctuary for people to believe in something so they don't feel like they just nothing but an organism. They use religion so they can cling on something as they are capable of thought to not feel like nothing and they were born with no purpose in life or anything.

@GShockVideos Indeed. Religion is a sanctuary from fear. Fear of everything unknown and different, and thereby giving the "right" to hurt and punish the unknown. Aside from a sanctuary, it is also a means of indoctrination. The power to make people believe anything and everything. They said people should pray, and so they do. If they would have said: stand on your head to honour god, they would've.

religion is a device to control the mind on the masses, with enough fear and instruction and fause hope people will gain raw power. Where does a person with a spirit to believe in start to see the real light in there spirituality begin, and the current face of what we call a religion today as a call for a end, all in for the hope in what they believe is real. What ever tomorrow may bring us all, the heart beats a little more in the unknown

its so obvious that god does not exist.
lets take a disease for example, it mutates itself to get around human antibodies and human medicines in order for it to 'survive'. just like human beings, we mutate to survive the changing climates around us. however, we refer to 'mutating' in humans as evolution and 'survival' of mankind as adapting.
its simple people. just because it is said differently doesnt mean it is.

I actually disagree with this, your argument is incoherant at best. By showing that diagram you first assume that infinity does in fact exist, and then from that presupposition say, "and yet we experience the 'now' therefore his argument is false."

@mirptwirp of course no one can say that god is real or that god is not real. but thats because it is a mather of faith. and you cant say to someone that their faith is wrong. but they cant proov that their faith is real ether, and thats what makes it faith. but you can proov that religious things, like the bibel, has facts in it that arent facts.
