  • Nice video, Simon. You continue to amaze at your consistency! Summer is here in Georgia with highs around 90 except today with heavy rain and humidity very high.

  • Simon. I happened to come across one of your clips from 2007 in which you were making cutlery drainers. Wouldn't those work well as flower pots, with the saucer attached? Sort of a one piece unit? Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Hi Simon, Spring is the best. Here in Connecticut spring is about mid way the lilac's here are not ready yet maybe next week. We have tulips, daffodils, dog woods and magnolias out in bloom now. My lilly of the valley are getting ready to bloom too. Thanks for they video wish I had time I'd be doing flower pots today!;-D Enjoy the day ~ Karen

  • Hi Simon - thanks for the demo. I loved Guy Wolf's pots but you've brought them to a size I can tackle and actually fire in my own kiln.

Here in Phoenix Arizona, I think spring ended a week ago Sunday. Daytime highs are now firmly in 90's and have had a couple of days over 100f.

"but its a dry heat" (a little desert humor there.)

We're all racing to get outside work done before the end of May when we start spontaneously combusting in direct sunlight.

  • An early Winter has started here in Aus. Simon. Stop rubbing it in.

Borridge is meant to be good for you. Drunk as a tea.

  • The Spring weather in E. Colorado

is a bit finiky, low 80's last week and didn't get out of the 40's today! We just haven't gotten the moisture this year, some of my plants are stunted or just haven't come up yet. The Rhubarb it's about 3 feet tall and took first cutting this week. We press the big leaves into clay slabs and make plates and bowls out of them. School's out soon, I'll try to get you some pics of our first camping trip, we set up a pottery tent, I make pots, the boys go fishing!

  • Lilacs in bloom here in Pennsylvania!

  • Beautiful work, as usual!

I finally got to trying the 'rolled rim' on a piece and I love it! The piece I did the rim on was sort of like a genie bottle at least i think so. I will send you a picture of it when it comes out of the kiln.

  • Thanks, Simon. Very interesting to see you do a production style of throwing. It inspires us to greater competence.

Autumn here in Perth. Just getting a bit chilly in the mornings.

  • Watching you from Louisville, Ky.

Kentucky Derby tomorrow. We have a lot of tulips in bloom at this time.

Its has been warm but we are in an overcast and cool period the last few days.

    Thanks for your videos.

    Regards, Bill.

  • So is it true that... "the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain?"

Spring is here in Lone Jack, Missouri USA. Have cut the grass once already. The apple blossoms are finished. Muskrats and Wood Ducks on the pond. Rabbits are being rabbits. Lots of rain. Have been out watching for tornadoes. You can always tell who has lived their entire life in the mid west, they're standing out in the yard watching for tornadoes. :)

    Will send pictures soon.

    Another excellent video Simon, thanks!

  • LOL SMathewspots! Fellow Missourian here, wouldn't want to be taken by surprise, would you? Of course you watch for tornadoes! The dogwood trees are in BEAUTIFUL bloom and the irises are quite showy too! Too wet to mow in Columbia!

  • I'm going to try to make some flower pots too. I was always curious on how to make it.

  • i think i will make some flower pots too!

  • Hello Simon! Here in the middle of Sweden the sun has been shining all day. Daffodils and tulips are blooming. The birches have small leaves, we call them "mouse ears". I was able to stand outside today and glaze some pots. I look forward to the next clip. Bye till then, Åse in Sweden.

  • Why not just roll the rim?

  • Hi Simonl,

Here on Long Island, NY, spring has arrived too. Daffodils, tulips, dogwood trees, Lilacs are all blooming now!

    Thanks for all the inspiration,

    Sue

  • Hi Simon, We don't have Spring in Florida... we have winter (4 weeks around Christmas) and everything else is pretty much just plain hot, hot, hot ....LOL

    Nice pots by the way!

Warm regardss from Debbie in Florida

  • Spring has sprung here in London Simon but it's an English spring which means sun one minute and rain the next!!

  • Clever of you to make nesting pots to save kiln space, Simon - something for us all to keep in mind. Wild azaleas, magnolia trees and irises in bloom here in Georgia, USA. Cheers!

  • Hi Simon, 4 pots in 10 minutes. Kind of pokey there HA. Weel done ole bean!

I'll have some pic's for you soon. Very excited to share. Have a marvelous weekend.

As we say in the USA, April showers bring May flowers, what do May Flowers bring??? Pilgrims!!! (weak joke)

  • "DOWN with him" at 6:42 cracked me up!

Spring has come in our little part of Texas with a lot of rain. We'll take all we can get. The consistency of those pots is amazing.
