i hope xillia is a ps3 exclusive in the US. now dont call me a sony fanboy yet. but the problem with releasing the game on the wii or xbox 360 is that people download them illegaly....and that way, the developers are not getting the profit they deserve. if it is a ps3 exclusive, then it is ensured that the developers will have maximum profit. The people who make this game are geniuses, and they deserve every penny they can get their hands on.
@ijjiPro lol although PS3 pirates aren't as much, it's not "maximum" profit if it's only on one console. I wouldn't mind it being PS3 exclusive since I own both 360 and PS3, but even if there are pirates on the wii and 360, there'll still be profit made on those platforms -.-. I already beat Vesperia on the 360 awhile ago, working on Abyss on my 3DS and gotta pick up my Graces f PO with Naruto Generations next week.. no time to finish any..
@BlissKira very true, but i don't see a "tales of" game becoming multi platform for some reason. I know its not a good thing because i really want tales of vesperia, but it is on xbox 360 and i don't see them bringing that over. you look at all the tales of games and none of them were multi platform. so chances are very unlikely. im just saying if they stick to a one console game, then it should definately be ps3.
@SleepyLightz Got tales of vesperia the other day (my first tales game). And I have to say, I haven't been addicted to a game like this in years. I was hooked from the beautiful opening, the gameplay, the vast and long story mode, and how well developed the characters are. You won't regret buying any tales game :D
@SleepyLightz Tales is a completely different experience from FF, so don't get your hopes up if you're hoping for something similar, they are really good though. Personally I thought the past few FF games have been great, XII, XIII were both amazing and XIII-2 was alright it would've been better if the story didn't suck.
@SleepyLightz If you liked the older FF series like 7-10 then IMO you will like this, the Tales series is really the only RPG worth playing nowadays that still has a world map
and cities to explore, lots of cool characters to choose for your group and is just a better rpg experience than the current FF games which to me is more action than rpg. The current FF is too much about graphics..

@NotTrollingAtAll The English version of the song has been around since '09. This was made using that and the Japanese opening from the game. As the description says, this is the PRESUMED English opening put together by someone.
@NotTrollingAtAll BoA (the singer)'s single of White Wishes has always had an English and Japanese version on it. Someone just spliced the Eng version to fit the original opening here.
I can see character designs similar to those seen in the Atelier series now. All the Tales series needs now is to keep the opening in Japanese and add item creation, and its transformation will be complete and our mission will be over.
@SBaby um..... the tales series was around long before the Atelier series...... so if anything the Atelier series took things from the tales series....... just like many jrpg's took things from the Final Fantasy series when it first came out.

I don't have a PS3 but my cousin does and you can bet that we are gonna play the hell out of this game. like with Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, and as of right now Tales of Abyss. Yeah!! I just got TOA3D on Thursday, and haven't been able to put it down since. I'm super infatuated with how well the gameplay is on the 3DS, it actually fits. But had I got a PS3 instead of a 3DS, I still would have got TOA and played it on the PS3, and have this game. And maybe even Tales of Xilia, if it makes it to North America.
@polarseizure I got a PS3 for this a refurbished Backwards compatible so Tales of the Abyss has gott some attention as well, I would like to see more Team Destiny games though, and less taken in the English localizations. Im gonna end up importing a Jap PS3 copy of Vesperia, Graces and Xillia likely.

well I personally only liked ToS and ToS:DOATNW were the best and I don't really like the characters that were made for this Tales of Graces game. FF13 was alright and FF13-2 was just amazing. I loved it!
Damn I'm really regretting selling my ps3. I really wished xbox got this game, although xbox did get Vesperia, which was amazing. As a whole we need more Tales games in America.

@Umotokorriken I have to agree, I have played every Final Fantasy from 1-13 and 13-2. and after 10 they all were horrible, never finished a single one after 10. should not be surprising though as the creator of Final Fantasy "Hironobu Sakaguchi" left when Squaresoft merged with Enix after 10.
ff 10 was a sad joke, ff10-2 was even worse. at least 10 wasn't as overrated as 7, which is the most overrated game possibly ever made.
saddest part, they're getting worse. just look at 14, it was such a huge failure the entire dev team was given the axe. and they still try to force it to work, and it won't.
ff 4 was the best one. 5 was ok, 6 was great, after that the storylines and battle systems began to tank, badly. 7 was ok, 8 and beyond were jokes

or perhaps you're a FF fan that's in denial. since the creator left the company, the franchise has been going downhill. wanna know another fantastic franchise that doesn't get the recognition it deserves? Fire Emblem. There are many smaller companies out there who make fantastic games that don't get the recognition they deserve. why does FF have such a huge fanbase? they used to be great. I used to be a huge fan of final fantasy, once it went 3d it went downhill.
and yes I know final fantasy is made by a 2nd party company for Nintendo. an example of a smaller company would be Nippon Ichi. Bet you never even heard of that one before.

In fact the Final Fantasy brand is SO strong that even after a colossal failure like FFXIV was released, the fans continue to support SE because they completely rectified their mistakes and are only going uphill. Type-0 has had amazing reception and EVERYONE is hyped for Versus XIII.
@GtheMVP played 13-2 and it was worse than 13.... except 13 gave you an actual ending.... where as 13-2 did not. they expect you to pay the 15 bucks for the DLC which is coming later, to see the "true ending"...... which instantly makes it the worst RPG i have ever played. at least other games give you the full game you pay for.

@GtheMVP there are a lot of tales games i could introduce you to if u dont know about them already. but yeah, in Japan the game is Tales of Eternia on the ps1 which was later ported to psp in Japan and Europe, in the US they had to retitle it Tales of Destiny 2 because at the time a cartoon called HeMan and the masters of universe was airing, and in the show they live in a world called Eternia, so to avoid copyright, the name had to be changed, a U.S ps1 copy would cost a pretty penny being ...
@GtheMVP personally i think the best of the series was and still is Tales of Eternia because it revolutionized how they games worked as they went on, sadly though the new titles are amazing and incredible and i love them all, none of them really brought back that flow like ToE did, however the Tales of Destiny DC Remake for ps2 was pretty close

Your getting ahead of yourself boy. Sales does not contribute to a games rating at all, it only signifys sales success. They only make money because of the FF title hat's still in it. Considering the legendary ff7 producer left and the direction ff is going, players will not be as satisfied since ffx. FF is not going uphill, if it were then they would have created games that surpassed 7,8,9,10. Fans continue because there's not many jrpg series besides FF. And yes I'm a fan of Ff.

It's all personal preference. But, look on the bright side, at least neither Tales nor FF is like pokemon which rehashes the exact same plot every game. Then again, no one plays pokemon for the plot.
@yoyoyo88665 the real reason is because Namco never advertises, it could also be there is prejudice towards hand drawn animation which unfortunately is a factor where as Final Fantasy makes CGI, but don't even think for a second that its because the characters and stories aren't any good. i have the best of both worlds with Tales and FF, but FF is heavily falling short of its once proud kingdom. The tales series just never gets off that small island of a country they call japan for fear of fail.
I somewhat agree, I do very much enjoy the Tales series much more than Final Fantasy, but it is rather ignorant to say that Final Fantasy is crap. I mean just look at the amount of effort put into the visuals, voice acting, and CG scenes. Anyways, while the Tales series may be better, the bitter truth is that Square almost always localizes their games while we've been missing out on some amazing Tales games since Namco Bandai only localizes every other Tales.

@Umotokorriken I have to agree, I have played every Final Fantasy from 1-13 and 13-2. and after 10 they all were horrible, never finished a single one after 10. should not be surprising though as the creator of Final Fantasy "Hironobu Sakaguchi" left when Squaresoft merged with Enix after 10.

ff 10 was a sad joke, ff10-2 was even worse. at least 10 wasn't as overrated as 7, which is the most overrated game possibly ever made.
saddest part, they're getting worse. just look at 14, it was such a huge failure the entire dev team was given the axe. and they still try to force it to work, and it won't.
ff 4 was the best one. 5 was ok, 6 was great, after that the storylines and battle systems began to tank, badly. 7 was ok, 8 and beyond were jokes

@Umotokorriken Typical butthurt Tales fan that's jealous of Final Fantasy's success. Maybe there's a reason? The generic anime, characters and story may be a reason why the game's aren't as successful. The games have good battle systems, but still. or perhaps you're a FF fan that's in denial. since the creator left the company, the franchise has been going downhill. wanna know another fantastic franchise that doesn't get the recognition it deserves? Fire Emblem. There are many smaller companies out there who make fantastic games that don't get the recognition they deserve. why does FF have such a huge fanbase? they used to be great. I used to be a huge fan of final fantasy, once it went 3d it went downhill.

@Umotokorriken Cont. from much smaller companies, and if you're a fan of games from smaller companies, that doesn't mean you should hate more popular games. There's a reason why they're popular. In fact the Final Fantasy brand is SO strong that even after a colossal failure like FFXIV was released, the fans continue to support SE because they completely rectified their mistakes and are only going uphill. Type-0 has had amazing reception and EVERYONE is hyped for Versus XIII.

Squar Enix's rep has faltered as of late, but FF XIII-2 is solid and their pipeline looks better! THe music in FF VIII-2 alone is worth the purchase!

@GtheMVP played 13-2 and it was worse than 13.... except 13 gave you an actual ending.... where as 13-2 did not. they expect you to pay the 15 bucks for the DLC which is coming later, to see the "true ending"...... which instantly makes it the worst RPG i have ever played. at least other games give you the full game you pay for.

@GtheMVP How? they are making you pay more money to see the ending to a game. A game which you have already spent 60 dollars on. not even EA or Activison does that. Not trying to be an ass, Im just annoyed that a company would cut the ending off a game to sell it as DLC.

@zemos345 you too! I've become a Tales fan btw, playing Tales of The Abyss on my 3DS right now. Tales of Vesperia is one of my all time favs, love the combat/story/characters, got me into the Tales vibe :) Abyss is great too, I think this is where the Vesperia combat system cut its teeth?

I hope Graces is more in line with Vesperia and Abyss, more adult-centric, unlike Symphonia 1/2. Abyss and Vesperia have some dark freaking tones lol

@GtheMVP there are a lot of tales games i could introduce you to if u dont know about them already. but yeah, in Japan the game is Tales of Eternia on the ps1 which was later ported to psp in Japan and Europe, in the US they had to retitle it Tales of Destiny 2 because at the time a cartoon called HeMan and the masters of universe was airing, and in the show they live in a world called Eternia, so to avoid copyright, the name had to be changed, a U.S ps1 copy would cost a pretty penny being ...

@GtheMVP personally i think the best of the series was and still is Tales of Eternia because it revolutionized how they games worked as they went on, sadly though the new titles are amazing and incredible and i love them all, none of them really brought back that flow like ToE did, however the Tales of Destiny DC Remake for ps2 was pretty close

Change is a good thing especially in gaming so games do not become boring and stale that is why Final Fantasy was so great cause it changed with every installment. Your getting ahead of yourself boy. Sales does not contribute to a games rating at all, it only signifys sales success. They only make money because of the FF title hat's still in it. Considering the legendary ff7 producer left and the direction ff is going, players will not be as satisfied since ffx. FF is not going uphill, if it were then they would have created games that surpassed 7,8,9,10. Fans continue because there's not many jrpg series besides FF. And yes I'm a fan of Ff.

@Umotokorriken LOL. So because I'm an FF fan I only know popular games? No. I'm fully aware of what the likes of Nippon Ichi, Banpresto, Idea Factory, GUST, NISA, etc. are. I'm a fan of any type of JRPG as long as it looks like there was effort put into it; basically the opposite of something like Hyperdimension Neptunia. FF is an amazing series; if it was "downhill" XIII wouldn't have sold 6.5 million and XIII-2 wouldn't have sold 2 million in 2 weeks. Liking FF doesn't mean I can't like games

It's all personal preference. But, look on the bright side, at least neither Tales nor FF is like pokemon which rehashes the exact same plot every game. Then again, no one plays pokemon for the plot.

@yoyoyo88665 the real reason is because Namco never advertises, it could also be there is prejudice towards hand drawn animation which unfortunately is a factor where as Final Fantasy makes CGI, but don't even think for a second that its because the characters and stories aren't any good. i have the best of both worlds with Tales and FF, but FF is heavily falling short of its once proud kingdom. The tales series just never gets off that small island of a country they call japan for fear of fail.

I somewhat agree, I do very much enjoy the Tales series much more than Final Fantasy, but it is rather ignorant to say that Final Fantasy is crap. I mean just look at the amount of effort put into the visuals, voice acting, and CG scenes. Anyways, while the Tales series may be better, the bitter truth is that Square almost always localizes their games while we've been missing out on some amazing Tales games since Namco Bandai only localizes every other Tales.

Hubert wasn't there at the time since when richard joined Hubert had left for Baronia with his father Aston.

@The01kic why? i don't mind it being on xbox i feel that everyone should have a chance to play a game as long as the game isn't changed drastically because of it (unfourtionately FF13 is part of that they had a finished game for the PS3 when square made (forced) them to go multi plat and because of the limitations of the xbox they had to change the game which in the end took away from it)
