@synchbite: No way! The movie was a classic in it's own way. The music is also amazing of course....and combined with the movie it was awesome! But, again, the movie was fantastic regardless of the music.
@synchbite .. i beg to differ.... Fazil's direction and the story was way ahead of its time. Of course, we cannot discredit ilayaraja and all the playback singers. The acting of padmini was superb and nadiya went matching her.

The only reason this movie was a big hit because the songs. Beautiful song! I watched this movie many times when it was released.
