that was impressive. but i i dont buy it. come on, 8 year old working on his portfolio? not sure about how real this is. if i had to guess someone is behind the scenes here. but well done kid
So basically he started his investing right after the economic downturn when markets were rock bottom, after that everythings been going up, ill be it slowly, but up and no lower than the huge dips in 2007. Sure hes a genious but his program is going to be bullshit when the market goes back into a more steady rate if ups and downs.
He aspires to be a hedgefund guy? Why? Hedgefunds are only good for making money and generally screwing middle income producers over ... They make absolutely no real contribution to mankind ... This is the reason for the current economic problems ...
Never trust the robot...cuz it can't adopt with the market condition....the market needs humman judgment....There is no other replacement than a humman trader involve in the market...
@r8ymond LOL, pretty sure that Kevin O'Leary is more than capable of making a grade 3 mathematical calculation... You guys have it wrong. The kid invested thirty thousand dollars. From that investment, he made a ten thousand dollar profit (Total of forty thousand dollars). The profit made, divided by the total, gives you the 25%.
@turdsandwicher he has no money, and his plan can be scaled up infinitely in the market if he loses 50% of the company but gains half a million to invest and profit off his growth will be exponential and will be backed by the experience of these professionals something he doesn't quite have yet.
@turdsandwicher ... look if you get 50k capital and you know you can gain 25% and you get 12.5% of that profit it's really good money, not to mention the fact that he can grow and manage 100k or even 1mil investment + a reputation in the stock market. It's a really good deal to start your life at 14 years old.
The fact that interest loves big numbers ensures quick growth, even though half of the profits are to be paid out to the Dragons. I do agree that a 50% stake is a little much to give away, but think about this: it's not just monetary resources he gout out of this deal. HE acquired mentors and teams of experts employed by the Dragons to ensure that he doesn't crash and burn. (1)
@turdsandwicher At his young age he will absorb just about every advice he will be given by the Dragons. I'd love to see what kind of man this will mold him to be. My only advice to Julian is to not take advice from someone who has no experience in this field, regardless of how much influence he has on you. Best wishes and I would love to watch the many success stories you will have in the very near future.(2)
@turdsandwicher it's not just about money. it's about contact. you're either in or out. you can't slowly grow. if you have to choose between speed and perfection, always go for speed. if you go for perfection, you'll be left behind.
