I understand entirely, Ciccolini's recordings are without doubt the greatest recordings of the Gnossiennes. However, I didn't want to emulate a masterpiece, I didn't think that would be of much value.
@jaymusic143 I agree a tiny bit about the drag..BUT... the "drag" is one of those elusive details in interpreting his music... The "drag" creates the longing for the next tone.. the next change..
Kallis has done a remarkable interpretation that beats many a professional concerto pianists ive heard.... on a shitty digital piano.
@orglarovin Thank you, I do play it a little faster now but I certainly agree that one of the key points of Satie's music is the waiting! He was a master of understanding that a blank canvas isn't truly empty.

A nice feel, but I do think it too drags a little. Aldo Ciccolini's s several albums of Satie are quite informative.
