@spyderken that means you just suck! I played the 360 version first and then the ps3 on the hardest difficulty. After that it was like I bitch slapped everyone in the game(ps3 version). So yah 360 is better.
Well, the only thing that made me sad is that the PS3 Version of Ninja Gaiden 2 had A LOT of bonuses compared to the XBOX360 versions, like playable characters and Mission Modes. For someone who got XBOX360 to play Ninja Gaiden 2, I admit I'm very sad, and a little pissed at Sony... But, oh well.
I don't think that less blood/enemies on screen made the game less hard. They balanced it, there are less enemies, but they have more Health, hits harder and superior AI.
I didn't play NG2 Mentor however, and Sigma 2's Mentor is kicking my ass, the difficulty spike is unbelievable so Mentor may be closer to the Xbox 360 version of the same mode.
Wow, really? Then Master Ninja must be hardcore. In the XBOX version it was really frustrating, specially against those Explosive Shuriken Dark Spider Shinobis.
I have a PS3 and NGS2 but I actually prefer the 360 version because it just felt better to play. Could be the gore factor. Now, add in all of that blood and guts into NGS2, THAT, would be a match made in heaven, no matter the system.
What a stupid upgrade. They take out Incendiary & Windmill Shuriken, the projectile charge function, the cause of orienting by lack of keys (BUT we do get a detect route function, YAY!) above water fights, reduced blood, gore, enemies (no more epic stairway fights) and werewolf IQ (no throwing body parts).
But hey! Atleast we have 3+ uninteresting characters, shinnier graphics, a Canon for the fishes, a company obligated mission mode for super ninja, cornier ending and a guest without reason.

@LegendaryA37 Yeah I don't know whens the last time you played it on PS3 but there's blood & gore on there. It says it on the back of the case of the game. Whenever I killed someone Ryu would throw the blood of his sword before he sheathes it. Its not as much but its there. And less violence & enemies? You must've been playin' it on easy 'cause I'm tryin to go through it now on hard & I'm gettin' swarmed.
@spyderken I've played both, and while the PS3 has refined graphics there ARE less amounts of enemies on screen at one time. There is minimal blood on the PS3, and no gore on human enemies, along with reduced blood splashes. Dismembered body parts also don't stay on the ground. Have you played the 360 version? Although I'm glad both systems have the game I have to say that Team Ninja belongs on the 360.

You're a child, so you wouldn't know. Ninja Gaiden was known for its difficulty first. Kids these days are only impressed by blood and violence and think this is what makes Ninja Gaiden, but back in my day, the real violence was that of the player against his controller after getting repeatedly knocked off those thin platforms by those damned birds that ALWAYS APPEARED EXACTLY WHEN YOU DIDN'T WANT THEM TO.
@jocke706 He, originally, didn't have them. When he uses the Blade of the Archfiend, his eyes glow a golden tint. In NG3 this comes in majorly. For, not only is his eyes different, but his right arm is swollen, like one of the fiend's. That is what I saw in a NG3 teaser. It might not be true, but it looks like they may keep this affect.
Right when camera turned on Ryu, they should shown a smile from Kasumi or something. They should have shown more of here face though. I mean, don't get me wrong good way to show her off, but at least let her be an unlockable charater or something.
@theburntshadow I never played DOA and I knew it her. Team Ninja may be saving her for Ninja Gaiden/ NG Sigma 3. If they are, count me in. I just wish I had the DOA series for PS3. oh, well.
I love playing as all these new characters, but I feel that they are added in at the last minute, because each of them only have like...1 level. In Sigma 1, Rachel had 3 of her own levels. That was pretty good. But in Sigma 2, Ryu had 14 levels and each of the three girls had one level each. That's not enough. Each additional character should have AT LEAST 2 levels each. So far, I love playing as Momiji and Rachel.
@DevilRebellion maybe they just made a character model just for fun but they decided to put her in the game....or they just put it her in the game for extra content....or its like lost...they have no idea where they are going with kasumi hehe.

@jsmith2200 temco last year, when they first announced NG3, had said that they would not be "bound by what happened before". Which technically means they don't want to follow the original NG chronically anymore, which would make sense if your going to introduce even more DOA characters. Better to make it a new continuity.

-If there is ever a Ninja Gaiden 3 i rather wait for the PS3 version, obviously the first release would be for Xbox 360 but after a couple of months the Sigma will come out and as usual it will be better than the Xbox version. Just for the record i have Ninja Gaiden 2 (not sigma) and after watching Sigma 2 i was rather annoyed, im gonna wait next time.

If I'm to choose some manly characters from gaming world side by side, I would pick, Ryu Hayabusa-Master Chief- Solid Snake. They define combat on their respective ground in ways that just make them awasome. Also women tend to fall in love w/ them (except MC perhaps?) but they tend to NOT care, which makes them even more awasome.
Ryu leaving back in the original NG2 ending mirrored Itagaki's departure very well now that I look back to it. This shows that Team Ninja will still go on, with Itagaki's spirit in the franchise inspiring them to move forward, even though in actuality he doesn't care but is proud of the series nonetheless lol.
@PrankerDemon It kind of does. This is Hiyashi we're talking about. He loves adding additional female playable characters. And he'll be making this game from scratch. Plus both of Kasumi's appearances were totally random. We never see her face, we only see her for a few seconds, and she doesn't even have any lines. What other role could her appearences play, if not to foreshadow something?

I'll talk to Sony & have them give back the NGS franchise & in return you can have Microsoft give back Resident Evil, Tekken, Devil May Cry, & Metal Gear Solid franchises. I mean after all they did it to add a bigger fanbase & its clear one side got a bit too greedy.

@spyderken Ninja Gaiden and Ryu Hayabusa and the PS3 don't match. Sigma is terrible in comparison to the 360 version. Extra missions and characters is cool but less enemies on screen, less violence, and no blood and gore? That's what Ninja Gaiden is all about!

@LegendaryA37 Yeah I don't know whens the last time you played it on PS3 but there's blood & gore on there. It says it on the back of the case of the game. Whenever I killed someone Ryu would throw the blood of his sword before he sheathes it. Its not as much but its there. And less violence & enemies? You must've been playin' it on easy 'cause I'm tryin to go through it now on hard & I'm gettin' swarmed.

@spyderken I've played both, and while the PS3 has refined graphics there ARE less amounts of enemies on screen at one time. There is minimal blood on the PS3, and no gore on human enemies, along with reduced blood splashes. Dismembered body parts also don't stay on the ground. Have you played the 360 version? Although I'm glad both systems have the game I have to say that Team Ninja belongs on the 360.

You're a child, so you wouldn't know. Ninja Gaiden was known for its difficulty first. Kids these days are only impressed by blood and violence and think this is what makes Ninja Gaiden, but back in my day, the real violence was that of the player against his controller after getting repeatedly knocked off those thin platforms by those damned birds that ALWAYS APPEARED EXACTLY WHEN YOU DIDN'T WANT THEM TO.

@jocke706 He, originally, didn't have them. When he uses the Blade of the Archfiend, his eyes glow a golden tint. In NG3 this comes in majorly. For, not only is his eyes different, but his right arm is swollen, like one of the fiend's. That is what I saw in a NG3 teaser. It might not be true, but it looks like they may keep this affect.

Right when camera turned on Ryu, they should shown a smile from Kasumi or something. They should have shown more of here face though. I mean, don't get me wrong good way to show her off, but at least let her be an unlockable charater or something.

I love playing as all these new characters, but I feel that they are added in at the last minute, because each of them only have like...1 level. In Sigma 1, Rachel had 3 of her own levels. That was pretty good. But in Sigma 2, Ryu had 14 levels and each of the three girls had one level each. That's not enough. Each additional character should have AT LEAST 2 levels each. So far, I love playing as Momiji and Rachel.

@jsmith2200 temco last year, when they first announced NG3, had said that they would not be "bound by what happened before". Which technically means they don't want to follow the original NG chronically anymore, which would make sense if your going to introduce even more DOA characters. Better to make it a new continuity.

@nofatchxplzthx key items? so I'm guessing the Bow is the I.shuriken, and shuriken are the only projectile weapons. dang, the only thing I don't like about Ninja Gaiden II was the fact that everything was so bloody. The "II" was blood stain and game over was blood stain and there was just blood everywhere. I DO like the blood in-game though. it was really streamy and cool. hah. NGS took out all the blood. but even the cool blood in-game / :

-If there is ever a Ninja Gaiden 3 i rather wait for the PS3 version, obviously the first release would be for Xbox 360 but after a couple of months the Sigma will come out and as usual it will be better than the Xbox version. Just for the record i have Ninja Gaiden 2 (not sigma) and after watching Sigma 2 i was rather annoyed, im gonna wait next time.

Who knows. In NG3 tgay say it is going to be the darkest and most violent game in the ninja gaiden series and maybe the awsome blood is coming back but dont expect it to be like NG2. But I hope it's on both Xbox 360 and PS3 at launch this time. Because I only have a PS3. And even though we don't know much and only see 1 piece of concept art for the game, I do hope Kasumi is made into the 3rd installment. I wonder what the new Ninja weapons will be. Man, I'm so excited, I can't wait.

If I'm to choose some manly characters from gaming world side by side, I would pick, Ryu Hayabusa-Master Chief- Solid Snake. They define combat on their respective ground in ways that just make them awasome. Also women tend to fall in love w/ them (except MC perhaps?) but they tend to NOT care, which makes them even more awasome.

Ryu leaving back in the original NG2 ending mirrored Itagaki's departure very well now that I look back to it. This shows that Team Ninja will still go on, with Itagaki's spirit in the franchise inspiring them to move forward, even though in actuality he doesn't care but is proud of the series nonetheless lol.

@PrankerDemon It kind of does. This is Hiyashi we're talking about. He loves adding additional female playable characters. And he'll be making this game from scratch. Plus both of Kasumi's appearances were totally random. We never see her face, we only see her for a few seconds, and she doesn't even have any lines. What other role could her appearences play, if not to foreshadow something?

MY GOD!! First I was expecting a nice long CG ending, then I was expecting that last 21 seconds to be the CG video (cause of vid at the side)...after 4 loooong minutes of slow walking, there's just a flash of her hair... Awesome game, wish I had PS3.
