  • you r quite good but not much and you arent good at making vids or explaining. you forgot to mention wat you do with your feet to help get the back wheel up

  • thx

but really not safe they had to take me to de hospital -_-

  • thx

  • I nearly killed myself by ddoing this!!! XD

  • love those socks and helmet

  • why the fuck does he have no suspension at all? What a downy

  • Comment removed

  • i can do higher bunnys on my downhill bike,160 mm tail suspension lol

  • @QuestGamer7 okey ???

  • dude how much did they pay u to make this video?

  • Keep up the good work! Nothing wrong with the video. Those who do not like, let's see how you do riding in Hong Kong mountains.....

  • If the bike is heavy, it will affect the performance when trying to lift the back wheel right? As in, would having a heavier bike , make it tougher to do a bunny hop? lifting of the rear wheel part

  • @XxBlezzxX very much so.

  • @XxBlezzxX yeah the weight would affect it. My forks have some good weight, I can lift the rear end easier than the front for some reason lol. Your frame might be heavier at the back than at the front, just depends on the bike

  • I know this guy in real life his name is Erin he is a fat for real does that answer all your questions he works in hill crest da Diego mission hills bike shop

  • @sdalby: Totally agree! All the talk on YT of "can my bike handle these trails since it's not got 3 feet of travel front and rear...????" C'mon people, back in the day when the likes of Gary Fisher and Tomac first rode, they hucked jumps, drops and wheelies on ROAD bike frames with fat tyres! And did it as fast as nowadays (just bumpier!). I've only just started riding front suss/HT and will put most Full suss to shame! Never let equipment get in the way of technique, JUST GET OUT AND RIDE!!

  • @Jakeyboyshow now that's a word !

  • @Jakeyboyshow Too much to read... :P

  • Thats a pro hop

  • nice HD

  • why dont u just ride jumpbikes cos ther the same thing but liter and dont think im biased cos i ride bmx

  • @malomator Not true really. A lot of the new breed of 29'ers are fully rigid, as are hardcore single speeders (eg Charge Duster). I'm in a MTB club and I would say that 50% of the members have a fully rigid MTB build.

  • U telling me about shifting my weight got me to leave the ground thanks a lot man helped me alot

  • Blah blah blah... Jk

  • this vid is fine he showing basic techniques for basic tricks and old school bike are best pussy need suspension i ride old school mongoose and it's awesome

  • Why all so negative and insulting? Yes its a mountainbike. No not an old one (look disc breaks). Some ppl just prefer to have no suspension. Doesnt make it less of a mountainbike. He's explaining well so no need to insult the guy. Don't like it? Fuck off please.. Jealouse pricks

  • all you nay sayers that completely belittle this man's skill or ability are completely ignorant and missing the point of the taught lessons. So yeah maybe you guys are more advance (maybe!!), but then again....... choose another video, because these videos are obviously intended for the novice rider who simply wants to learn new techniques. Stop all your egotistical irrelevant comments that make you sound like, not only a complete ass, but also like you're an immature high school kid.

  • good

  • lol at 0:25 he could not look any gay'er (if that can be classed as a word) :/

  • @SamuelPrice1994 yeah lol

  • turn the hand forward while dragging the bike up :)

  • who is the asshole on the bike?

  • wow he can do bunny hop wow

  • this guy is complete shit all the mtb videos are on how to do a bunny hop

  • thumbs up if u can but still watch this!

  • Who named it a "bunny hop"? I like "Rabbit Jump" better. In fact I'm going to call it that from now on. "Rabbit jump that rail bro!"

  • hate expertvillag thumps up!

  • learn on a brake-less bmx, more skill :) Then this is easy

  • what did he do with the pedals??

  • can i do that tricks with Merida matts 40??

  • @LLerrki

Ofcours, im from poland and about 94" we dont have a lot of bikes in store. My first bike was ordynary shitty hard mtb. But I still watching ex channel on satelite and try to do what they were doing. Now a heve kona stinky and my problem is no time.

PS. Forget about my mistakes. Im better speaker then writer.

  • 138.632 videos...geez...

  • @MrBaufritz

    O_o

I didn't realize that... is that even legal?

  • SHOCKS ,PEGS........LUCKYYYYYYYYYYY,

  • y is ur front break on the left???

  • @SuperINmyPANTS UK standard is front break on the right, in the US it's on the left

  • @wibblechips yer its on the right in AUS...thanx anywayz! ;)

  • @wibblechips You're right. I think that from the beginning front break was on the right. I don't get why they changed it. Now we have this mix.

  • This Guy is a DOUCHE

  • OOHHHH!!!! JUST TELL 'EM TO TWIST THE HANDLES FORWARD!!!

  • that's a rigid MTB.

  • Stop hating he gave the info

  • real men don't have suspension

  • TO ALL YOU DIPSHITS moaning about how crap his bike is and how silly he looks - first of all: SO WHAT? he's showing useful techniques. Secondly (presuming you're old enough to remember the 90's) it was once very common for even pro's to ride MTB's with little or no suspension.

  • soo this obviously does not work without foot locks. my foot usually just slips off

  • @neettim well. your wrong =)

  • @shizloops2 then tell me how to do it? without foot locks? and lifting your back wheel?

  • @neettim its about how you hold the handlebars, and you put backwards pressure against your petals. effectively wedging yourself between the handlebars and the petals then jumping without moving your feet. the bike will follow. its easy after you get the hang of it...

  • @shizloops2 please make a tutorial then!

  • @neettim haha please gimme a camera! i would be glad to. lol...

  • is not using suspension or shock because of the weight you morrons -.-

  • dis guys gay

  • dont listen to him. he said he had foot lock pedels

  • this blows, get a real bike from tartybikes.co.uk

  • just like the other experties from a village

  • i think this was from 1995. pretty good for a video that old ;)

  • good balance

  • He is gay

  • Good thing he knew how to bunny hope in order to get over that root.

  • expertvillage is really a bunch of motherfucker?!

  • Go go captain over complicate. You know how to go over a root in the trail? You let your tires roll over it!

  • he keep talking less doing damn

  • expertvillage sucks...

  • he sure does explain it connfusing but since i practiced it my self its much not so hard. the most inportand thing is to push your handlebars forward when jour frond wheel is in the air then you dont need to use your feet at all

  • dude u look lyk such a gay u make bunny hopes way harder den they acc r

    thumbs up if u agree

  • taz bien pendejo jajaj

aun t faltaron otros tips para hacer el bunny hop

aparte cuando segun tu era mas facil hacerlo con velocidad

t ayudaste pedaleando combinandolo con otro truko bestia

  • No wonder you did it in the middle of nowhere.. you look like a dick. :)

  • i actually had no clue how to bunny hop. when i try doin it i end up getting off my bike instead of getting my back wheel off the ground lol :) so i ll try it... thanks anyway...

  • 5 stars if you can do bunny hop without a cleats pedal and shoes LOL

  • bikefoums.cz.cc

  • Reading some of these tips and tricks for mountain biking has been just like watching videos of Van Halen (I can't think of a better example). Half of the posters do nothing but take pot shots. Roth is better. No Sammy is. Geez. The guy is making valid points about technique, trying to assist riders, and some among us would rather nitpick about his breathing, his "um"ing, his bike, and apparent lack of skill. Where's your sense of community?

  • hes always so proud when he got a trick down he forgets what to say. and uhms alot

  • It sounds like he doesn't know what he's actually explaining. -.-

  • This is an excellent explanation - I am using your technique and I thank you. I live in Dallas Tx so we are limited in trails but learning these tricks takes the edge of the ole boring ride in my neighborgood- thx

  • bunny hop with the brake ? LMAOOOOO LOOLOL ROFL

  • ok u have clip in pedals- ur definatley gay...

  • @flippy0450 How is he gay? Clip ins provide more efficient transfer of energy because you can put positive pressure on the pedal through 360 degrees of rotation unlike platform pedals in which, at max, you can only put pressure on for 180 before the need for back pressure to keep your foot on the pedal.

  • @Petersworld518 if you think of your cranks and how they are natually in an opposite position, you should be able to perceive that what you are describing has no effect at all! you are always pushing your pedals, not pulling them! =P

also, the effect you are describing only takes effect when you bunny hop. which then is NOT a proper form to use for DH riding, I know someone who has raced DH all his life with clip pedals and has sustained multiple broken bones, spine, pelvis!

  • @Petersworld518 you could say that it is pedal efficient if you have trouble keeping your body posture correct, or have trouble with keeping your feet on the pedals. Its gives you a more confident control of your pedals but if your looking to race DH, there will be times when an extra split second is the difference between a clean bail and broken bones! =O Also tends to condition you towards a improper bunny hop technique!!! "dont lift the pedals-use the scoop to keep ur center of gravity back!

  • thats cheating, he had clip pedals!

  • i hate expert villages god damn words

  • u stupid

  • this is some light bike, if you can lift it up like that with your skinny arms...

  • you suck!!!11!!!!!!!!

  • he does not have any suspension

  • Are you gay ?

  • he doesn't have front suspension cuz he tookthe wrong bike from garage:D

  • this guy sucks at bunny hopping. i doubt he could get a foot of air if he wasnt clipped in

  • what a fuckin idiot, im coming from a bmx background looking for downhill tips and was just curious as to why ud need to bunnyhop a mountain bike. this really is a terrible how to, i can hope about 2 and half feet on my bmx and when learning i didnt use one technique he explained

  • I wouldn't buy his bike for off-road,

It has no suspension (now I know it doesn't have to have it but it helps to have front at least) and also it still uses V-Brakes.

I wouldn'y use this bike on trails, because the brakes might get logged up and it would be such a rigid/uncomfortable ride.

  • Sorry about that I'm an idiot... just watched another vid, it has discs, but my comment on suspension still stands

  • i bet he made this up on the spot

  • ha ha its only a bunny hop m8 its not a back flip lamo lol

  • why would you make a "how to bunny hop" video while clipped in?

  • i can only assume that everyone saying this is not a MTB because it has no suspension are young arrogant kids. Us slightly older, more genuine MTB'ers might remember that there was no such thing as suspension until maybe mid 90's? All MTB's were rigid, yes, including Downhill

  • @sdalby True that! I have a 1980's Huffy MTB with rigid forks.

  • @sdalby Remeber kids; only softies need soft frames and forks!

  • @sdalbyi dont think u rmb posting that comment

  • its called a stoppy dip shit

  • @cooltubes423 nahh its called an endo, stoppy's when you carry on moving for a bit

  • Basically its whatever you make it lol

  • 1. You mustn't use breakes to do bunny hop

    2. That is not MTB

  • @CsHacking yes, it is a mountain bike, there are many different types of mountain bikes

  • @09FordFX4 Do not learn people to use breakes.

  • need fork and shocks ! xd!!!!!!!

  • no shox or forks !?

  • THANKS! :D I was always trying to get the back wheel up enough! This really helps!

  • indo is when you go over the bars and fall imo

  • I HATE when people say "Mountain Bike Tricks" or whatever when they do not have neither front or back suspension.. it is just an oversized BMX bike! I mean come one, lets see how smooth you are on a full suspensioned bike! Thats where the skill is! This is just pure cheating PLUS he has Clipless pedals/shoes *rolling eyes*

  • @braaup haha thats true. I ride an 09 norco 250 so it's sort of an oversized bmx but it's got a wicked fork on it. It's much harder to bunnyhop on a 26 inch mtb than it is a bmx. Not to mention a j hop isn't a "trick" hah

  • Imagine these guys all lived in one village called Expert Village. That village would not make it to the olympics.

  • sorry expert village, but this really doesn't help

  • haahaa thx i learn so fast and now im doing exactly what u are except a little smaller .... my dad saw it and u should have seen hes face

  • is it possible to bunnyhop to that height with any old bike? I have a few year old bike-shop schwiinn.. can't seem to get any height. Just need more practice or is it the bike?

  • You can practice with any bike, but the frame weight is the largest factor. Front shocks will help with the initial downwards push, but I started learning on a old steel bicycle.

  • @thej0hnson i can bunnyhop that high on a beach cruiser

  • that bike doesnt look fit fot off road conditions im sorry that looks more like begginer on road biking

  • Its the rider... not the bike.

  • yank all the time with our arms

  • haha

  • awesome

  • haha he said yank

  • this is dude has skills....he does it better than matt hoffman! :D

  • whoowhoo your crazy dude -.-

  • His bike doesn't have front suspension or it was locked

  • you can clearly see it does not have any

  • yup, you're right, no front shocks

  • :P haha

  • lol this won was stupid

  • You do not need a special bike or pedal grips to do a good bunny hop. It came naturally, for me. Your under thighs play a significant role as well. Momentum will take you the rest of the way.

  • full suspension is nasty for hill climbing

  • the best trick is to

    practice

    practice

    practice

    and ... practice :D

  • plz tell me urgent!!

    hard tail or full suspension?

i need to know im gonna buy one soon

    thank you

  • depends what you wanna do... long distance, more than one day on the bike... then definitely dual susp...

  • It really depends on what you want to do. Try a mountain bike specific forum for answers. And on another note; maybe do a lot more research in what bike you want, instead of just going and buying one. You'll thank me in the long run when you aren't pissed that you wasted a grand on a bike you despise.

  • Full Sus

  • for a jumping bike, hard tail

  • hard tails are good coz u can use the for dirt jumping too coz they are lighter

look at bikes from Specialized and GT the Specialized P series looks awsome I want to get the P1 2010

  • i just got a p2 2010

    its a sweet bike

  • i didn't know there was a P2 2010...

  • Anyone know if you got to be Strong to do this?

  • nope u don't gotta be strong u just gotta know how to do it and practice

  • yep, bunny hop is quite tecknical trick :D

  • im not sure if my suspension will allow that.. lol

  • i lift both the wheels off at the same time lol

  • his mic fell out dumbass

  • its much easyer to just jump off the pedals (but still be able to land on them)then pull your bike into the air with upper arm strength.not hard

  • lul rasism

  • lawl

  • no, his audio device

  • dude ur camera was gonna fell 1:35

  • so did your grammar :P

  • you're gay? HOLY SHIT DUDE!

  • looks gay lord shut the fuck up

i think u are a gay and u are finding a gay boyfrined

    freaking bastard dickhead
