  • This is to lyla what d'you know what i mean is to wonderwall.

  • The piano solo is amazing ;)

  • The chorus sounds good don't like the verses.

  • where can i downoad this plz

  • Good, but album version is better.

  • sounds a bit like leyla

  • Great, though the Album versions sounds even better to me.

  • Noel looks like a wee boy at 0:19 ... sooooo funny!!! Madferit!

  • The Start Kinda Sounds Like Lyla

  • yea i think the same way too.

  • This is fuckin brilliant, They've completely changed it - Wish I'd bought the deluxe album now ! ha ha love that beat man!

  • is this the next single of Dig Out Your Soul? the liam version

  • no..this was on the bonus disk that came with the deluxe edition. it's track 8 on the album

  • dont like it, its so mux more exciting when nial sings out loud so come onn shake your rag doll babyy

  • WHO??????

  • liam :)

  • Who the hell is Nial?

  • haha that's a serious misspelling man

  • I think he was drinking. That looks like drunk typage.

  • I really liked the piano in this version!!!Both versions are perfect!!!Cheers!!!!

  • I don't know why, but I really don't like this version. There's no spirit, no rock'n roll, no beats, and it's become lame..

This case happened in some certain songs like Hello, Stand By Me, She's Electric, Supersonic, etc; when they were sung by Noel.

On DIg Out Your Soul, Noel's voice in my opinion only fits in Waiting For The Rapture, High Horse Lady, and Falling Down. The others are definitely belonging to Liam's voice.

    Cheers.

  • that last picture is pretty awesome

  • God bless Noel G, were lucky to have him.

  • i second that chum!

  • Hail to the Chief!

  • to tell the truth im getting sick of all the classics, i want to hear the new album live. dont get me wrong they will always be classics but they have to give it a rest. seen them twice before and its always the same. they have so many good songs that they dont play. they must be sick of it themselves. cheers

  • OMFG! why dont they play the turning, bag it up, and soldier on live???

  • they played the turning at chicago

  • No they didn't, The Turning hasn't been played live yet. This version has been performed without any vocals at soundchecks recently but the band haven't performed it at any gigs yet.

  • they played this song in stockholm 09

  • the beginning sounds sorta like lyla

  • no shit

  • oh

    my

    gooooooooooooosh!!!

    Noel you Rock my world!!!

  • SOMEONE please tell me why they don't play this or bag it up live?????????

  • its madness

  • i'll tell you as soon as you tell me why they aren't playing live forever!!! now thats madness

  • good point about live forever. but really, 2 of the best songs off there new album aren't being played live and I can't find an interview or anything explaining why. does anyone have any idea?

  • noel said in an interview thats cos they got so many tunes and had to make some sacrifices.he also said that he'd like to play those 2...

  • that's a lie. not what you said, but what noeal said- why wouldn't he just alternate each night? it makes no sense.

  • cos of liam? :>

  • noel's the boss dog

  • because the band cannot play the other new songs on gigs. noel explained in an interview that DOYS was their first album on which the songs were mixed together and actually they were never played live. that's why they needed a "practice concert " before the tour so that they could hear how the new songs sound when they are played.

  • i assume it's because liam can't hit certain notes

hopefully they'll nail it by the summer ( stadiums tour ) ,,

  • fucking tip top this a perfect example why noel is my hero.enough said oasis forever, mad for it!

  • go baby! OASIS.

  • feels like god

  • Awe-inspiring! I need to get my hands on the bonus CD songs! Might swap it onto my album so I can listen to it with this version! =)

  • I fuckin' love this version! Shake a rag doll baby!!

  • sounds like theres wind chimes, i love that

  • Is it God singing to me? Yeah, i believe since 1994. Thanks for the most important music of my generation!

  • Does sound a bit like Lyla, well the drum beat does. I prefer this to the album version. Just. But I really love the alternative version to Waiting for the Rapture and the album version of Falling Down.

Still waiting for Stop the Clocks to get its official relase though. :0(

  • Love it!

Prefer this than the album version and waiting for the rapture Alternate version but its all good!

  • I think this album is a better try to do something different without being away of the OASIS escence. They have new rythms... something that was lacking in the 3 first albums. Don't Believe The Truth was a good try, but not as good as Dig Out Your Soul... I hope I made my self clear... I think this is the 4th best album (WTSMG, DM, BHN and DOYS).

  • Well said caguaman2k.

  • i love this version, i think liams vocal might fit the song better though.

  • Believe, that in this version (we might call it demo) Liam is doing back vocals.

in the version, that came out on CD, Liam is doing main vocals.

haven't heard that song in a concert, but i believe, that Liam would be singin :> it'd be really interesting to hear Noel ;-)

  • only so many songs an chords you can play they are bound to sound similar to any other record

  • its class. but the album version with liam singin is still better

  • This one is not as accessible. Its not as straight forward. But this one is more complex, its moodier, its stranger and you're not sure exactly what you're feeling while you listen.

All I know right now is that I can't get enough of Noel saying "before you change yo-er mind". The way he says "your" is just... I dunno. Makes me listen again and again.

This version is for the real fans. The ones that cream themselves everytime they see a new Noel acoustic cover of Paul Weller on the internet. :P

  • Noel's vocals are the best they have been right now. Bring on the solo record Noel, please!

  • lyla rip off.

  • true but is still fuckin' great.

  • Probably why they retooled it and it doesn't sound like a rip off til you listen to this version. Just like 'Dya Know What I Mean' doesn't sound like the same chord structure as Wonderwall til you actually read the guitar tab.

  • please explain how to rip off your own song!

  • the start is just like lyla

  • better than original! noel has so lovely and great voice!

  • i dont like it for me that isnt real oasis on doys on this album they are pure progresive and harder than this this is more pop than rock and roll album version is better

  • nice! i ike both versions..but gotta admit noel's version is a little better

  • i desperately hope they play this one live on the tour.

  • love noels voice on this

  • Better than the album version, this is ace

  • who gives a shit if it sounds like cliff richard?? cliff richard fans should be happy theyve inspired one of the biggest bands in the world and oasis fans should be happy oasis made a fucking good song like this.

  • Man, you're so right.

  • @PThePower don'tsound nothing like cliff richard lmao nothing at all

  • Class

  • Just been reading online news about Oasis ripping off Cliff Richard just listened to both songs this sounds like Devil Women no mistake.

  • where did u read this news exactly? and for the record it aint a rip off. its called sampling or being influenced by another song. if noel really was inspired by cliff richard when writing this then i should be grateful because this song is awesome. an eg of a rip off is timbaland releasing 'apologize' under his own name "feat. one republic", when all he did was add a few effects in there and some stupid groaning noises at the beginning. it should be 'one republic feat. timbaland'

  • Where i read this news is from just about every newspaper in the uk also it's all over the internet but all i had to do was listen to both songs, just put Oasis and Cliff Richard into google and read it for yourself. This isn't the first time Oasis have been accused of this they had to give Neil Innes a writing credit for the same thing.

  • ok mate, that's fair enough. i thought they sounded similar anyway. i know about the innes case, and i personally think 'whatever' is far better. but i wouldnt call it "ripping off" coz noel took certain ideas from these songs, expanded them, and made more great songs. loads of bands sample other music, and if all the right people are given credit, then i dont see the problem, everyone is happy. how good must it be to say, "i inspired oasis, a worldwide famous band, to write that song"?

  • who is to say that he listened to the cliff richard version and though i'll write a song with that riff?!!! i'm sure he came up with it himself and it just so happened to be similar to cliffs version!!!

  • PFFFFFFFFFFFF!

  • this isn't the actuall album track this is a remix!!!

the actuall album track is much better!!!

  • dont like this version....

the album version is absoloutly huge tho

    soon to be classic

  • sounds like lyla

  • everybody rips everybody off moron. The beatles did it more than anything... more obvious with hits like blackbird full riff taken from a Swedish singer.

  • ...

  • your bent

  • Learn to spell correctly you little wanker, it's you're and not your.

I'm right as the intro is Devil Woman, no doubt you have Cliff's entire back catalogue on your hard drive and wank over it every evening.

    Prick

  • sorry you are bent

  • ha ha you tell 'em mate; well said.

  • GREAT VERSION

  • Good Version.. where's the other 2?

  • nice!...

  • good song=)
