  • nice. i recently got my first carp on the fly. ate a prince nymph and once the hook was set the game began. the tug of war didnt last very long but it was a lot of fun.

  • @asmodia14 , once you go down the path of the brown bomber, you will never look back....

  • @sebastianokelly im not. buying a new 8 wt rod tomorrow and trying it out. then i will see how it does in cape cod for some blues and stripers.

  • Nice...

Pity cant do this in Johannesburg South Africa.... :-(

  • Nice story! It looks a run against time for fun, but maybe time limit is making it even more exciting... Thanks for sharing.

  • 100 pct pure fun

  • hey great video. i now want to learn how to fly fish. can you tell me about what would be best gear to use to catch carp. thanks

  • gosport,

A 6 or 7 weight rod is best, matched with a floating line. 9 foot leader is about right with 1 or 2 X tippet, 3 X if they are real spooky although you will get a lot of break offs.

  • Excellent job, I enjoyed watching it and I suddenly want to skip off work and hit the Credit River.

  • Loved it! You just tickled everyone's fantasy of playing hooky to fly fish. Great video... Fantastic editing! 5*

  • yeaaaaaa man, i skipped a few classes to hook up with some bass! i loved the ending, that's all we think about while workin, fish on bro!

  • very creative.

i wish I can fish in Singapore river too. but there are many no fishing sign.

  • Nice. Very nice.

  • Thx for the props, folks. Fish on!

  • god that was amazing absolutley LOVED it

    Thanks!

  • Awesome video!

  • Fantastic video you have inspired me to call in sick and try my 5wt on some city carp.

  • haha great i like it.. :D

  • simplt great! Go Carp!

  • I just gotta ask. What city? Looks like San Antonio to me, but I am not sure.

Man I can't wait for spring and softer water!!!!

  • Great video! Fly fishing the urban jungle, just think of all the possibilities. Thanks for the watch!

  • Wet or dry fly?

  • Joel,

It is a dry fly so to speak. Black or dark purple chenille wrapper around soft panfish popper foam tied on top of a #4 hook. It floats right in the film like the real thing. You can see what the imitation looks like a couple minutes into the video when I am opening and closing my hand over both real and imititation mulberries.

  • Totally awesome!!! nothing like tossing the fly in the concrete jungle...Cheers!

  • Thanks folks. Praise much appreciated.

  • Now THAT was fun!!!

  • Brilliant.

  • Looks like great fun
