These machines violate passengers' constitutional rights. Other type machines should be created that don't depend on visual detection. Such as one that would simply trigger an alarm if it perceived something not part of the human body or normal clothing ... in which case that person would be given a choice to submit to closer inspection or leave.
The Washington Post ran an article today [1-4-10] including a video graphically showing how a person's body becomes virtually naked. An attractive woman's "assets" were in plain view under the scan.
All I can say is that I wouldn't want some pervert [who applied for that job to satisfy his prurient urges for voyeurism] oogling my mother, wife, sister or daughter, would you?
