Thousands of car accident victims were left behind by the massive government bailouts of GM and Chrysler. The $50 billion rescue of GM and the restructuring of Chrysler allowed them to "wash away legal responsibility for car-accident victims who had won damages or had pending lawsuits," OMG just found out,NO VOLT FOR ME.
GM Still doesn't get it!!! Pure electric is the way to go...it will appeal to more people. oh wait....they did get it...the EV1!!! oh..but they got rid of it...idiots!!!!
Unlike a prius the Chevy Volt ONLY runs on battery power in the first 40 miles and will go 100mph the prius uses gas after 20mph so the Chevy is better and after 40miles driven the car still is electric but uses a gas motor to charge battery, again better than Prius, plus the Chevy just looks better.
see? again the same shit! still burning gas. you gm fucking idiots! we need an purely electric vehicle. we need a car that drive 150 miles on a charge. that is it! it is more than enough for everybody. (for the longer trips we'll probably better learn to use a train.) also make it costs 20-25k and you are in business! is that easy! but is hard for a stupid, corrupted ceo from gm to understand that! and also is against corporatecracy!...don't bother probably the japs already built it...
The Volt and the fuel cell are the same they both don't work, this is a total scam from GM, are trying to hold on to the internal combustion engine so that they can keep selling part to cars, instead of sell all electric cars. I hope GM fold for being stupid, and for putting this country in danger by trying to keep us on oil!
Your units are wrong. 600 miles divided by 12.5 gallons = 48 mpg. The engine (gas, ethanol, biodiesel, whatever) only recharges the batteries. And how many cars on the road today have a 600 mile range?
we have to get rid of burning gas and use only electricity from the plug! is that easy. this is the future. the only problem-the battery -can be solved. advise for gm: instead of using the milions of dollars lobbying give them to a high research us university and they will built reliable a battery! they(gm) have learned nothing from their failed strategy in the last 10 years!

It has a 1.4 liter engine from the Chevy Aveo to generate electricity once the onboard battery delpletes.
You still need to buy gasoline, spark plugs, air filter, oil filter coolant, engine oil, belts, get it smoged, get the oil changed, maybe a tune up,
its designed to make the oil company happy and not to mention give MR. Goodwrench a Job

And if you comute less than 40m per day, you'll never use any gasoline, if you charged it in the evening.

Why can other EV's get up to 120 miles to the charge? Why can't GM match that?
I don't want to have to fill up any more.
Lets get rid of gas burning engines.

40 on electric, then 600 on 12 gallons of fuel.
don't worry about cost of fuel-that is screwing up your calculation
600/12 gallons = 50 miles/gallon (mpg)

This is the same Volt in the other demonstration videos which topped out at a speed of 8 miles per hour and whined??

12.5mpg after the 40mile charge?
12gallons times 4$per gallon is 48
600miles divided by $48
12.5mpg lol
lets hope I don't take long trips that much and keep it under the 40mile range.
And how long does that so called super battery last and how much does it cost to replace it?

You are so right! And add the 40 mile electric range, and you have 640 total mile range.
I think that's pretty good.
