I started skating in in 88. this was the first video i saw. It was like so many others here have said. I skated before school. to school. during school sometimes. and after. at night with a homemade light setup in the backyard. thought about skating constantly. Did not want to do anything else but skate. i still skate, it's still fun, but doesn't feel the same

These were the best skating years in the 80s i see kids now a days and just laugh cuz skating today is a joke. Back then we devoted ourselves to skating everyday not come home and play video games we ate and drank and dreamt of skating. I still have a steve caballero full deck in mint condition.powell peralta are the best and always will be!

@TheBenben76 Hey Ben ! in fact I bought myself a new board since I left my comment - so tired to watch and dream on those fantastic old Powell or Santa Cruz videos... I had to adapt myself to those new double-deck and concave boards without spacers or rails, I'm quite rusty and my body aches everywhere, I must be the oldest and slowest skateboarder of my town, but the feelings remain intact : pure joy and freedom !!!!!!

I wonder how I was able to live twenty years without THAT... see you !
