My dad has a 68 GTO and when he was younger (40's) he would also get impatient and yell at my brothers and I if we "didnt rev the goat properly" or "do things the way he wanted". Damn he loved that car. At the time i would get mad at him but wouldnt say shit. Fast farward to the present and now i'm the one working on the car and it still runs...lot of great memories with the GTO.
I sorta laughed when your pops yelled at you. Brought back memories. I'm pretty sure he meant no harm though.
I have a convertible red 68 myself, white top. I restored it to a class 2 show car, aren't they awesome?! It's hard to not crack a smile when driving it isn't it? Just take care of it, these cars haven't last 42 years being revved like that all the time.
