can anyone please tell me is the ending a sad ending or not??? i read somewhere that ariel lin and mike he were god and goddess and they were punished for being too rowdy and unloving, that's why they're sent to earth for the love contract... and that the ending was them and their friends were happy in paradise and such... is that true??? please help me, coz i don't want to watch 20 episodes then be left hanging by the ending... @TheScuddy123 It is true. i cried alot throughout the series. The story is of a God and Goddess that were puniched and exiled to Earth in order because they were both unloving, rowdy, and didnt believe that love could be acquired through ways such as a love contract. On Earth they have no recollections of their past life and are fated to meet through the means of a Love Contract and unexpectedly fall in love. Unfortunately, after going through many hardships things took a turn for the worse.

@TheScuddy123 Because he wasn't able to deal with not being able to experience life and love without her being truly and completely at his side he takes her to the beach that's holds a special meaning to them and they both die in the sea. Many many years later, although they don't say it but you can obviously tell because technically they must all be dead in order for all of them to be reunited, they both decide to go back to the beach where they formally marry with all of their friends present.

Try to watch 'Love Contract' and see whether you still feel this way. I was like you, only Joe for Ariel, but after watching Mike and Ariel's intense love in LC I was rooting for them. By the way it only get interesting when mike and ariel became bf and gf so bear with the first few episodes.

Really? I remember this drama and in the end the two main characters die. I wasn't sure to have understand this ambiguous ending so, I had search some information. In a lot of website I've found that they're dead and the end to the beach is a kind of "paradise" when they're meeting again. In this way, children will don't really understand and will not be chocked. I was desappointed by the ending of this cute drama with two amazing actors.

@minoko8623 Yes, If I remember well, Ariel Lin's character never wake up again and in the end Mike He's character commit a suicide. Hum... I can't remember if he took her with him... So, in the end both die. That's why "THE END" appears. Then, for children we can see them talking and laughing on the beach like they were alive and "THE END" appears again. That's why wa could talk about a second ending for children...

Mike probably was like 20 years old but this was on of his best work. Be prepared to crie....
