What do you think about citrus fruits, lemons, limes, grapefruit, etc? Does the acid from citrus fruits really erode enamel? Also, are dates dried fruit? The edges of my two front teeth are transparent from store bought orange juice and excessive brushing. Please help!
@imperfectionKillz It can if left on the teeth, yes. That's why it's important to avoid too-tart citrus (good oranges are mostly sweet, slightly tart). Lemons and limes should be used sparingly (like juice from 1 lemon in a recipe), which most people do anyway.
@imperfectionKillz I consider dates dried, even when fresh, because they are very sticky and very high in calories. Therefore, I use them sparingly in recipes. The only time I will have a meal of them (usually blended with water/orange juice) is in the fall when tasty fresh come into season.
You have a knack of making a new video of the very topic I was just mulling over. Cheers for the latest tip. I gave up dried fruit a while back, but recently began dialing back on acid fruits. I read just a few days ago about someone who'd never had any cavities and then a year on raw foods and she had a mouth full of them. So, I want to be smart and avoid that. Your teeth look super healthy, so it's easy to believe you. Thanks again for the help.
Swayze,
To make your videos more interesting(the information is great) change the BACKROUND.

you mentioned "dried" nuts...but aren't nuts naturally dry? Are these a different kind of nut? I buy raw cashews and almonds and roast them myself.
fmbighair 3 weeks ago
@fmbighair The kind you buy in the store are dried. The kind you hand-pick off a tree are not.
