  • Global warming is a money scam and Aids are for people who get to horny.

  • Brother, Frist Global Warming is a con in order to collect money to give to other poor areas. That is why Africa seems to be the one that was picked to be the hardest hit by this scam. It is a un agenda. Second I agree with twobitz1 on AIDS. Those infected must stop spreading it. They must care for another life more than they do about having another roll in the hay. The main problem with Africa is they must get out of handout mode and start doing for their own people.

  • hey PoliticalKhaya

Aids and poverty, isn't global warming caused by sun cycles? I read somewhere there is global warming on the other planets.

  • i think glabal warming is more urgent cause .. if we don't get that fixed then we can't help the people with aids cause there all gonna die of global warming! :P

  • AIDS and Global Warming are both behavior driven. However, AIDS can be curtailed by individual behavior. To curtail the effects of global warming we all have to agree to change our collected behavior.

  • Mmmm.

Global Warming is going to happen, all we can do is make it go faster.

AIDS can stop if the infected stop spreading it. We may be able to kill like smallpox, but education is needed. And why the Catholic church is telling them condoms don't work, theres still gonna be AIDS.

  • Is your question being as globally or it's relevance in South Africa? If South Africa, it has to be AIDS. As far as Global warming goes, well it is real and we see it's implications all the time. Global warming needs to be dealt with by the major creators of carbon emissions. South Africa can fight for such but it is out of our ball game.

  • Global Warming is not a conspiracy. Look at Hurricane Katrina and our winter here has not seen much snow(though today we have about four inches, when last year we had a foot).

Haven't you seen Australia experience 110 degree summers?

  • Both HIV/AIDS and Global Warming are HOAXS!

You will be paying for nothing if you believe these lies.

  • aids, since we can't do anything about the climate.

  • Dude getting tipsy and mumbling politics is not cool. Try do something {you are in a position to] after all you live in an aids epidemic. Seriously your energy is better spent locally - seriously think about it.

  • AIDS. Global warming really isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

  • AIDS is the easy answer. There are known verifiable cost-effective solutions. No one has a vilable proven solution to global warming. Take Kyoto. Supporters admitted it would do next to nothing, but cost trillions (not including job loses and negative impact on developing nations). Looking at the potential numbers of affected people is the wrong focus. The focus must be on which has the greatest liklihood of success. We can save lives fighting AIDS for certain, not w/Global Warming.

  • urm...i think that...i aint sure...its liek saying...let a serial rapeist walk outta jail or a serial killer...u cant choose cos one is still gunna harm others..i think (on a hypothetical leval) we should combat ...i duno! lol its too hard..id probs combat aids because its killing NOW where as global warming...we have a little longer befor the shit hits the fan

    T.B.C

  • It's not like everyone has to stop everything to fight global warming. What the general public can do to help, they can do with little changes in their daily habits. Aids, on the other hand, is spreading and killing thousands of people right now. I think we can fight aids While simultaneously living greener lives.

  • Before both AIDS and Global Warming, we need to find alternative energy sources to fossil fuels or there will be no economy to help with either global warming or AIDS.

  • Yes, on a micro level AIDS is a bigger issue right now. GW is a much bigger threat on a macro level, and the thing is that we have to start acting ASAP to prevent it.

  • i think i would combat HIV Aids seeing as it affects individuals on a direct(immediate)time frame and their demise being guaranteed...a healthier population results in more manpower (arguably)to deal with issues relating to global warming

  • Khaya I think I would combat AIDS and HIV before I took on the task of stopping global warming. Both are very serious problems but I think it's estimated that 33 million people have AIDS or HIV. I think that a lot of future cases can be eliminated by a simple solution, awareness. I live in Southern California and 64% of the 60,000 AIDS cases in the state are here.

  • I've been thinking about how this pandemic has effected the world quite a bit lately, and I just want it to stop. Thanks for making great videos; it's exciting to see someone who's keepin it real.

    -Devin

  • Yeah, and the numbers rising. 45% of people in botswana alone have AIDS.

  • I have revised my initial opinion; I now think that Global Warming is the issue to be tackled first. I have come to think this by reading that in many of the poorest African countries issues such as access to clean water are the major health issues as opposed to HIV

  • You are entitled to your opinion, but this is again based on miss-interpretation. When you are sick (flu), what is the single most important substance to help you recover (other than rest)? Water! People are sick because of AIDS, and they get sicker & die because of their living conditions (like not having clean water). So, changing your mind from the Aids issue are you saying poverty (clean water) is more urgent? Because indirectly you are still saying Aids is the more urgent issue.

  • Provision of clean water will save many lives that are being lost to diarrhoea. Countries are not being helped to do this, that can't be right.

  • I agree. Are you saying that should be the more urgent issue to tackle?

  • I think that money already allocated to HIV should still be used for that but new money should go to providing clean water.

  • i fully agree, saying GW doesn't exist is pure ignorance. Almost like how the UN said there wasn't genocide in Rwanda until 100 days after the start,, it only took a few hundred thousand deaths.

  • How about neither one? Do your research, both theories are seriously flawed, there is much doubt HIV causes AIDS or that it is even sexually transmitted. AIDS is sexually transmitted? What a racist implication like Africans are sex addicts or something. AIDS in Africa is the result of poverty, malnutrition, and poor sanitation. Besides chances of sexual transmission is estimated as low as 1/1000. What is happening in Africa is genocide called humanitarian aid. Google: AZT genocide

  • "Besides chances of sexual transmission is estimated as low as 1/1000. What is happening in Africa is genocide called humanitarian aid"-

    lies lies

  • I am most surprised at your comments Ben. I find it hard to believe that anyone doubts the hiv aids link, or that it is transmitted by having sex (among other methods of transmission). Anyhow, I googled your reference and did not find support for your assertions.

  • It's sad that you'd rather believe some conspiracy theory rather than actually searching for the truth. I will pay for your plane ticket to go and have a look at what is happening in Africa. You are right, poverty plays a large role in the Aids crisis. But the rest of your comments are based on here-say, total ignorance & construed ideas. Let me know when you want me to book your ticket, the truth is waiting to be descovered.

  • You think Global Warming is a conspirasy theory? I'm baffled. After all the evidence?

After all the signs? With extreme inland drought and melting icecaps? I agree that AIDS is a more pressing issue, but Global Warming is real.

  • I am sorry Flav, but another Ice Age was announced in the 1970s and the warmest year ever recorded was 1934. Plus, how many people died from the heat compare to those who died in AIDS?

  • Again, i do agree that AIDS is a more pressing issue but to say all of these signs are coincidences and flukes is absurd!

One example: the river po in italy dried up in2007 due to lack of meltwater from the alps.

Have you looked at photo comparisons of the rocky mountains in the 70's and present?

Global Warming is real-theres no denying it.

  • Flav. Can you explain what happen between 1934 and 1970 that made people scared instead of Global Warming but ice-age? If the 1930s proven to be the most hottest era ever recorded, why was the temp dropped and what were the contributing factors? Unless you clarified that I will still believe GW is a political conspiracy!

  • I don't know, but i'd say it's more likely that it's a fluke that the 30's were the hottest era ever, rather than the countless sings of global warming.

  • Oh, so you are willing to believe something only when it suits your argument? It is true that the the heat increases by 1 degree but the hottest ever recorder was 1934. Then in 1970s, the world became cooler and people were scared of another ice age. Today, now its GW. Those who pushed the Kyoto Protocol have not met the demands yet they called on US. Isn't that a sign of dirty politicking? They want to bring US down to its economic level in a hope to dominate world market and economy!

  • Wow. And you thing saying global warming's real is a stretch! You condemn one so called "conspirasy theory" by creating another?

  • is that yer gay lover in the backround??????????

  • Assuming that global warming is indeed a threat of our own doing, and it will have drastic effects, then we should see where it's danger lays in our time line.. It's in a milestone WAY further than the immediate danger of AIDS.. Having that in mind, i think AIDS should be treated more, or people should learn to ware more condoms and try harder to keep their pants on..

I heard that AIDS is the new plague :P..

    Anyways, great vid and Goeienaand..

  • yay for politics! :P

  • Funny enough, I did watch it the other day & it posed some very interesting questions. I declined to comment as I felt I didn't know enough about the situation. I'll do a bit more research into the matter, and I'll let you know what I think. (You are far too sensible to be a 17 year old!)

  • AIDS have & are busy killing 65 million people. The projection is that this number will be over 100 million over the next few years (30 million more that died during the 2nd world war). At this precise moment, how many people have actually died of GW? The solution to GW is a long term & ongoing process. The solution to AIDS is far simpler & easier, & could be dealt with 'swiftly'. Don't get me wrong, both issues are important, I just find it hard to say that the one is less.

  • i just read you comments with all the facts and figures and i totally agree.

what are your thoughts about the CIA scandal in USA? check out mine ( one of my vids ) and tell me what you think

  • interesting. i would choses aids.

  • Why?

  • it is just my gut instinct. i think that global warming takes effort from everyone and i do not think that people are currently willing to do that ( at least that people who are causing it) due to that they are probably making money and do not care about global warming.

but when you get aids it is not a choice and its inflicting pain on people now and i beleive that there IS a cure.

  • what do you mean by taking care of aids? what can any government do other than educate people? (genuinely curious)And if global warming is going to cause people to migrate, would that cause aids to spread more?

  • I could be wrong, but i'm assuming he means treatment, care, and more interest, time and money devoted to finding a cure, in addition to education.

  • Education is the start, but it needs to be IMPRESSED on people. International pressure need to be put on African leaders & force them out of apathy. More research to find a cure. Funds for the distribution of free antiviral drugs. VERY importantly - making the world aware of what is actually happening. From some of the comments I've read it's apparent that the western world hold a much distorted view of what is actually happening in Africa (but now also in India & China).

  • There are not enough people (let alone medical staff) to take care of the sick & dying. (Images inside an AIDS hospice are harrowing to say the least). Then there's the mammoth task of taking care of the other victims - the millions of abandoned pensioners and children left behind by their families who no longer are alive. They don't have shelter, food, clothes, education or even basic human contact.

  • i agree our view is distorted, no matter what has happened to us in our lives here

(west) we cannot even imagine what disaster is, what an epidemic is, what suffering really is, until we have lived it. I sometimes feel guilty that i was blessed enough to be born in America, and though i have been to Asia and Africa i have known i could always come back here and relax, take a break from it and pretend it doesnt exist.

  • I appreciate your honesty. But don't feel guilty that you are blessed - be grateful. Gratitude leads to humility and a heart that wants to share the truth with others. Africa needs people like you to tell the truth and demand attention from the rest of the world. A few voices make a choir. A big enough choir will grab the attention & consciences of those (the leaders) who CAN do something. And if we all sing loud enough, the world WILL eventually do something about it.

  • i would have to agree and i would go with Global Warming.

p.s. i may make a video to say why.

  • On a global scale we have the resources at our disposal to sort out both issues, but for some reason we are choosing not to due to petty short term losses.

Companies are reluctant to change their processes in fear of losing profits in the short term.

  • Good argument. I personally couldn't put one above the other. Have you watched a movie called Sophie's Choice? The Nazi's forced a mother to choose between her two children. One would die, one would live. Which one would you choose? Right at this moment, literally millions of people are dying of AIDS. In my opinion, there's still time to sort the problem of Global warming. But yes, the impact of that is far more reaching than AIDS. Morally, could you really choose?

  • morally? people have lost touch with them long time ago. the fact of the matter is aids is becoming such a problem, because those affected still dont keep their zippers closed, nor go for tests, and stay unprotected, i feel its a personal responsibility to protect yourself, and then the problem would be far less of one. (and yes i have been tested) so i practise what i preach hun)

  • Bravo! Now we need to get you on a plain & go & teach the uneducated masses of this solution. And then we've got AIDS sorted out. One down, and one to go. Sorry for the sarcasm, but you obviously don't understand the problem at hand. Anyway, you don't have a moral conscience so why do you care? Oh yes, you do care about infants though. You go and try and preach your quick & easy solution to the millions of dying infants, and see if they understand.

  • Africa needs to clean up it's own backyard and stop relying on everyone else - it's an entire continent for God's sake! Surely there are some strong, resolute black leaders who can handle the problem? You can best believe if there were an epidemic in N. Amerca, the United Kingdom, etc. it would be handled and contained swiftly.

  • But why are they so reluctant to act on Global Warming (which is now considered an epidemic in itself), when they themselves are the MAIN contributor to the problem? There is truth in what you are saying, but I can also see double standards & hypocrisy in that statement

  • Why are they reluctant to act? Because there is no question that strict environmental standards can (and often does) have a detrimental impact on a developed nation's economy. My guess is that countries like the United States are reluctant because they're afraid countries like China and India will continue polluting and increasing production capacity while the US is stifled under strict environmental laws. It's a VERY complicated economic and political issue

  • I agree, it IS very complicated. But don't be blinded by so called 'good intentions'. The only and biggest reason there's reluctance is because money is involved. Countries like China & India should be regulated & held to the same level of commitment to fight GW as any other country, and if they don't then they should be boycotted. The problem is a serious problem, and extreme measures are required.

  • I'm going to have to defer to Bjorn Lomborg on this one...

  • I can't choose, both require urgent action and to delay action on either front will cost lives so the choice is effectively asking me to play God.

  • global warming: because whats the point on saving man kind if the planet is destroyed? lol.. in my opnion i dont give a shit bout humans, i see them die i feel nothing (provided its not a infant) i see an animal die i cry my eyes out. thats because people have the abiity 2 make choices. our choices affect all around us, even if thats chosen 2 be ignored, doesnt change it still does. ripples in a pond guys...

  • ripples in a fat guy.

  • Besides the fact that choosing is completely unnecessary, I'd choose global warming. IF as destructive as some people say it is, tt could be the downfall of mankind altogether, I'd say that's a pretty big issue and it requires a huge change in lifestyle and/or technology. AIDS should be a relatively (important word there) easier problem to combat (spread awareness, comdoms, and research a cure)

Still, it's a strange to ask between these two, they can easily both be addressed.

  • Let aids run rampant and global warming will become a non issue.

  • Let global warming run rampant and AIDs will become a non issue.

  • To be honest, I could care less about how many people die in the present, because the real question I think we should be asking about is "What about the long term?" We can combat AIDS in the future, because we can CONTAIN it now! We are not even able to contain the damages of global warming yet, it's just going apeshit on the atmosphere! If we don't fight it now, the damage will be irreparable in the future, which is not true of AIDS

  • get educated on global warming. your statements are fallacious. check out the IPCC's 4th release on climate change. we need to change NOW before the shit hits the fan.

  • Where were you filming this, I see people in the BG, you did this in a public place?

  • Australia is actually the largest polluter per capiter.

  • where did you hear that?

  • A Bob Brown book.

  • why would you deny what so many experienced scientists have already proved? there is even prof in our own country.( if your american that is.) look at texas. it used to only hit 100 degrees on the worst days with a drought. Now, its 104 at eleven o' clock in june. and it wasnt a drought. so look around and think about it. your wont be blowing up some day, but nonetheless, while aids is a big deal, so is global warming. why else would the eu support anti global warming policies?

  • How do we now that this change in klimate isnt just a normal thing on earth we dont know wat happend hundreds thousends years ago how do u explain a ice age=klimate change its maybe just a stage the earths going through maybe one thats happend more often we cant and dont know but is is good they keep an eye on it cause u never know but it isnt for sure and allot of expierenced scientists have said thats its just a earth fase and nothing 2 worry about

  • If you th9ink its just a temporary thing, your right, its only gonna lassst a while than it will get worse. and it is something to worry about. when there are whole species being threatened because of the changes due to global warming, thats something to worry about.

  • The climate of earth does change all the time, and scientists do know what the climate on earth was like MILLIONS of years ago. But that doesn't make global warming any less devasting. Humans have been responsible for heating the planet much faster than it has happened in the past, meaning species haven't had the time to adapt and evolve.

  • Even with the worst case global warming scenario, earth will be fine. Species will go extinct, but that has happened many times in the past. It may take centuries, even millenia for it to recover, but it has recovered from much worse catastrophies in the past. Whether human society as we know it will survive it is the real question, because we depend on the species and resources that are around at present.

  • khayav, I am affraid you are simply wrong. Ecomonists will show you that if you spend 10 billion dollars on Aids, you could nearly stop the spread of aids and basically eliminate it for future gernations. That same 10 billion would merely delay the effects of global warming for 6 years when looking out 150 years from now Cont.

  • This assumes that global warming is caused by humans in the first place, which even the best scientists believe (opinion) we humans CONTRIBUTE to global warming, but there is no factual data showing we are the cuase (fact) of global wamring. Understand that in the 1970s we thought we had global cooling. We also thought in the 1980s that the use of CFCs caused the hole in the ozone layer (that has been disproven).

  • We also said in the 70s that the clear cutting of rain forests would lower the O2 levels, but they have not. We simply do not have the data over the history of our planet to understand if we are in a minor flucuation or if humans are really doing anything.

  • it's not an OPINION! please stop listening to right wing radio and do your own research

  • That's just it, I have done my own research. I am an economist, a lawyer with a number of advanced degrees and I have 163 iq. What I said is fact, the science is just not there to prove that humans cuase global warming. The scientific community has agreed that while humans contribute to gw, they cannot state as scientific fact (you know, the thing that makes science, well, science) that humans CAUSE gw. It is their OPINION that humans do, sorry.

  • industrial emission activity is the cause of most of our problems, in addition to deforestation, depletion of ozone, and methane from cow shit. the reason why we have all this can be reasonably deduced as human caused. According the IPCC: "Most of the observed increases in globally averaged temperature since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations."

  • there arent that many people dying of aids.

  • thats a lie. thousands have died from it, and many thousands (possibly millions) will. have you looked at africa lately?

  • Aids = Humanity

Global Warming = Humanity and some...

  • Both are extremely important. But Aids effects a part of the human population. However global warming effects every single living organism. So I would say global warming (or climate change), easy.

  • stuopid immoral question.

  • If global warming is true it will be the bigger problem because someday everyone will have a problem with it. AIDS is a question of education and the strenght to say "no matter what you say, we must use a condome"

  • i choose aids. i lost friends to aids. because it has touched my life it means more to me. my sister is a nurse and got an accidental needle stick. she has to be tested every 3 months per state regulations to keep her license. i hope she doesn't get sick. i don't want to lose my sister like i lost my friends.

  • Actually you'd better pray for global warming, the earth is in the transition period between ice ages. The present interglacial period has lasted about 12,000 years. If the history of this planet's climate over millions of years is any guide, we are about to enter a new ice age. History tells us our time is about up.

  • If America has to choose between combating AIDS or global warming, it will combat Iran.

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha! brilliant!

  • Since most of us don't have access the scientific study results, and even fewer would understand them if we did, we're going on the word of those who decide or have the ability to voice their side. Most likely 50% of us are wrong. It's really that simple.

  • Oops....LOL

  • Part II: Since most of us don't have access the scientific study results, and even fewer would understand them if we did, we're going on the word of those who decide or have the ability to voice their side. Most likely 50% of us are wrong. It's really that simple.

  • Global warming has to be dealt with or we will all be sick. It's unfortunate that we may one day have to make just such a decision, but if we can't learn to contain the damage we do to the world overall, we may have to. This issue has become one of "beliefs" in whoever's theory you deem to be most feasible.

  • I would say in Africa it is AIDS, But in America there are more diseases that require more attention than AIDS. Oh I do not believe that Humans are causing Global Warming, In fact we are due for another Ice Age soon

  • do they have to be mutually exclusive ? Why can't u campaign for improvements to both ? a clean world with aids is not good and a world without aids but with climate chaos and its affects is not good ...the world has the resources to solve both problems ...but not the political consciousness...yet ...

  • Well if we dont fight global warming and take care of the earth there will not be any resorcues to fight AIDS

  • I agree with you that Global Warming is a more urgent issue to attend to.

  • Ooh, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. You people are very gullible. Try some critical thinking and find out about the holes in the G.W. theory. And AIDS has recently been found to have exaggerated statistics worldwide. It is only a problem in Africa by now.

  • Are you really in Afganistan? If so (I think it's bullshit but whatever), thank an American soldier the Taliban and Al Queda aren't up your ass today.

  • Thank the American government for creating both the Taliban and Al Queda.

  • I guess I'd support global warming. we dont know much about it and I guess it seems more scary to ppl than AIDS which you can at leat try to prevent yourself from getting. maximum respect :)

  • This is the problem! We DO know A LOT about Global warming! They just neglect to inform you. YouTube "Global Warming Swindle."

  • Mt. Pinnatubo (a volcano) put off more emissions in one eruption in the 80's than all of the history of mankind. So what are we going to do about that?

  • Global warming. Very scary. We're all gonna burn up.

  • give war a chance...it's working

  • BUCKWHEAT HAD HAIR LIKE THAT

  • hiv is important, global warming, very important, i choose!! OUR SOUL

  • Human made global warming is a lie.

  • Ok your cheap stunt worked, im hear, but im not subscribing until I see a few videos and see what i think. My responce is global warming PURELY because we know the cure for that already. Global warming is pure ignorance, aids is much more complex and hasnt been solved yet. its unfair to compare the 2. Im a VERY political person so im curious as to what you have to say on this subject matter. Im listening, impress me.

  • That is a very good point. However, we also have the resources to keep AIDS contained (ARVs). Both global warming and AIDS are occurring because of negligence.

  • It's not an either/or choice, but I absolutely agree w/you. Global Warming is a much more significant problem (& I say that having buried friends w/AIDS). Climate change will affect all of the world's people, most likely involving enormous numbers of populations to relocate from the coastlines. People will be dealing w/hunger, thirst, disease & war. It's not an overstatement to say that several apocalyptic scenarios are possible if even a fraction of the climate change projections come true.

  • save the aids victims to have more people to combat global warming. seems simple enough.

  • Global Warming affects the AIDS people too, along with the entire world, so, it makes sense to combat Global Warming.

  • Aids is more important than Global Warming, because AIDS is REAL and Global Warming is a SCAM!, Global Warming is a made up crisis a complete lie and a scam, people are going to look really stupid in the near future when they have to admit they've been conned.

  • There is a MUCH huger consequence if we DON'T act (On Global Warming) then if we do. If we don't act we get --- Environmental, Health, Political, Financial catastrophes all over the world.

  • If we act on something that doesn't need to be acted on, we'll lose money, that's it. So, which outcome would you want to risk more? Both sides of the argument could be wrong, there is nothing set in stone as far as Science goes, but, when you look at the outcomes... only a stubborn ass would risk the fate of our entire planet.

  • Plus, there is always more money we can make if we act on something that we weren't supposed to, after all, it's just paper, but, we won't have any trees to make paper from once they all get chopped down and most of their native habitats destroyed because of excessive deforestation and environmental disasters.

  • Okay, about the trees, trees are like potatos, when you eat a potato do we run out? No. Why, because we grow another one. See where this is going? I'm all for getting off oil and using a renewable alternative if only for energy independence. But wreck our economy for tree hugging psuedoscience? No way!

  • i think global warming is great! it was 75 degrees the day before thanksgiving here in nj.back when i was a kid it would snow on thanksgiving.i don't care about polar icecaps i only care about nj weather being pleasent all winter.

those people(you know who you are)shouldnt have had sex with the red assed monkeys and then we would'nt have aid's.that's my veiws on both these things.

  • We can solve both of these issues if we end corporatism. It's all about the almighty do... er uh... euro.

  • Interesting first subject PoliticalKhaya.

  • I actually think neither is more urgent then the "world government" that is in the works.

If people havent noticed almost everything now is "global"

Global warming, global war on terror, global security, global waters.

AIDS is serious yes and until a cure is found we should never have research stop. Global Warming we cant "stop it" and its not man made and even as serious it is, it will not affected us,our kids, their kids, or their kids.

  • Excellent post, JusticePetitioner. The agenda is to use fear to justify "globalization," which really means the establishment of a Post-Cold War British and American financier-driven global empire; and this requires the destruction of currently sovereign nations and states. Lovey-Dovey "Globalization" is a pretty package, but people should be very wary of what is inside of it.

  • Thanks classic, that is exactly what it is fear propaganda to "unite" people not in a common goal for us but for the elites. People here who dont want to believe in the North American Union even after you tell them, show them where to go to look it up themselves saddens me, they either want to deny it saying "Americans wont stand for that" or call it a "conspiracy theory" little do they want to realize it is being done behind our backs.

  • That's true, JusticePetitioner. Natural global warming is being called "man made" as a fear tactic to push British and American "globalization" while the politically naive dismiss all of this as "conspiracy theory" Conspiracy is the most persistent activity in human history. I would only add that not only is this being done "behind our backs" but it is also being done in our faces because the financial elites have publically stated depopulation and withholding 3rd world technology as their goal!

  • I would only add that not only is this being done "behind our backs" but it is also being done in our faces because the financial elites have publicly stated "depopulation" and withholding 3rd world technology as their goal! True True.. AIDS helps this along..

War.. specially needless ones like the one we are in now. "Global War on Terrorism"

Give anything a fancy "Global" name and it is a do or die situation.

  • Global warming. aids kills a lot of people, but global warming could kill everything on the planet.

  • The most urgent question is to stop asking so many questions about known problems, regardless of the causes or who and what is to blame, AND TO START REAL COMPREHENSIVE AND INCLUSIVE GLOBAL*ACTION ON ALL FRONTS TO DEVELOP THE GREATER*GOOD OF HUMANITY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PLANET.

    BL*M

  • "The most urgent question is to stop asking so many questions..."?? This seems like a good proscription for global Fascism....

  • I don't think C02s cause global warming because two other planets in the middle of our solar system are warming also (Mars and Jupiter) I think global warming is linked to increased activity on the Sun during the past 100 years, and this has been recorded by scientists. Politicians us the "threat" of global warming to prevent technology transfer to developing countries to keep them poor and in debt.

  • I'm not a scientist and I rarely enter into scientific debates but this argument seems silly. A planet's atmosphere can do one of three things: grow warmer, grow cooler, or stay the same. The science is in on this one, accept it.

  • Your conspiracy theory seems equally shaky. Until very recently most politicians haven't agreed that climate change is occurring, while they have encouraged, through globalized economics, to shipment of huge amounts of polluting machinery to the developing world. The machines are going there, just not the profits these machines create.

  • adventurenox, your denial of historical trends is what is shakey. Politicians come and go but global financial institutions who control them have gotten considerably more powerful over the past 25 years. As to machinery, export of machines for cheap labor is NOT technology transfer, which has been withheld. And not all technology is polluting.

  • You misunderstood. I'm not saying that the west hasn't been reluctant to transfer technology to the developing world. What I'm saying is that climate change wasn't invented by these groups as excuse to horde technology - self-interest and greed were doing just fine as reasons.

  • Beyond "reluctant" Western financial interests have led the charge to prevent "3rd World" nations from developing technology to boost domestic standard of living and they have funded NGOs such as the World Wildlife Federation to promote anti-technology ideologies; if they fund it they "invent" it.

  • My point about all the heavy machinery was that these machines create greenhouse gases so clearly the financial elite don't care if Africa is spewing CO2 so long as the profits return "home" to the west.

  • Global financial interests do not care about C02s in the atmosphere even though they fund propaganda about "global warming." What they care about is keeping underdeveloped nations in debt because first world economics thrives off of such debt and cheap labor of imported goods -- hence, the "global warming" myth.

  • Its not a "silly argument". Al Gore specifically says CO2 is causing global warming. If you look at history and the CO2 levels during the height of the industrial revolution they DECLINED and continued to do so for 40 years.

Global warming is real but it is not man made and you cant stop nature from her NATURAL cycle. People think that by taxing us that will stop global warming?

Lets not confuse Global Warming with helping the environment.

  • Adventurenox, the science on this is one I accept too; that's why I reject the mere ideology of man-made global warming.

  • If developed countries are so concerned about so-called "man-made" global warming why don't they increase their use of nuclear power and why do they block safe nuclear energy development in the developing world. Russia has offered to enrich uranium for these projects in order to remove the so-called "weapons" threat. So, what's the deal? US and Britain just want developing nations poor and dependent and "man-made" global warming is their excuse.

  • Conquer Aids. Without Global Warming I'll never be black.

  • I don't think humans are causing global warming, but we are trashing up the place so it would be good to do something about that. How do you prevent aids? I guess by educating people.

  • I'd erase the human race and solve both (and more) problems at once! =) Not really. Don't hurt me.

I'd fight global warming coz I have the feeling there's more that politicians can do about it than AIDS. Also because it affects so much more than just humans. Fighting AIDS is important too of course. What I'd least spend my money/time on is war. =P

    Good question.

  • Who do you choose, Mom or Dad? You cannot POSSIBLY choose between global warming and aids. Both either have or will effect every single one of us in some way at some time and BOTH are very urgent matters. I believe this is an unanswerable question and both deserve our immediate attention.

  • Aids since global warming is way over blown and most of what the global warming alarmest say is happening just isnt true. So sad so many people believe and listen to people like Al Gore without looking at the facts about what really is or isnt happening themselves.

  • You're lucky i'm a good friend.... Subscribing to this junk.... LOL!

  • I've been saying it for ages and made up my mind a long time ago, you can combat poverty and disease as much as you want but none of it's going to meaning anything if our planet becomes inhabitable

  • i say global warming because aids wont kill most of us at once because if the aid growth rate stays the same and the population growth rate stay the same the population will still grow. but with global warming it could kill a lot of people in a little amount of time

  • Aids first because it has more urgency in terms of resources. Global warming can be addressed without changes in policy that are far less in terms of capital investment than tackling Aids. Both are important -- Global Warming requires a change of attitude, Aids requires massive investment.

  • hmmm...both need priority...if i had a cure i would say global warming...but unfortunately the fucking Chinese and most likely the american wont listen to shit

  • Global warming... cause it's global and we need to act now. AIDS is not very hard to beat compared to global warming. AIDS can be beat with education and condoms. Global warming requires huge coordination and cooperation on level unseen since world war two.

  • Sorry, but I'd choose global warming.

If only it could be stopped by a car condom or something...

Sadly, both things are caused by human stupidity and ignorance, but global warming affects the entire planet not just the human race.

  • *they're both affecting...

  • Did you know that the first automobile engine was going to be electric? How much does that suck. Global warming wouldn't be nearly as bad if we had gone electric from the start.

    Anyways...

They're both equally urgent, but global warming's urgent on a worldwide scale and AIDS is primarily urgent in third world countries. You can't just say that one's more important because they're affecting and changing humanity in a negative way.

  • We have global warming because there are large populations with a desire for the latest, most innovative goods. Some say that these populations only need to make "wise choices" for the environment and the problem will be solved. That to me would be a temporary easement of the issue. We need to control the large populations but nobody wants to talk about that. Maybe the Aids problem will be the one we can solve the quickest.

  • Yeah, I'd say global warming, also because we have drugs for people who have AIDS that they can use to fight AIDS and stuff? (no cure yet though) but global warming could be "the end" for all of us if we dont handle it right, no?

  • global warming because it will effect more people.

  • Unfortunately... I'd have to say global warming. It's awful - but millions of people can keep dying in far off places, and it seems not to affect the daily lives of the majority. (though an economically strong Africa would be good for everyone I suspect - and Aids is one major hindrance there) Global warming is more urgent on the whole - but I think Aids should be a higher priority for some of the more Aids-ravaged countries.

  • I'd combat global warming, it's not a nice thing to think about though.
