Yeah Id have to say overall Ima sony man myself. But get this, my bro got a free xbox360 from his mate, but was all ring'd-of-death'd so we had it sent off to Germany to get it fixed.
The shipping company arrived a few days too early and we hadnt anything prepared to put the 360 into, so we reluctantly [in a panic, we werent thinkin straight I swear!] took out our ps1 from its box, mushed the 360 rapped in 2 towels into it, taped it up and handed it to the pick up guys. Yep. Both in working order. I got real lucky though considering the 360 was given to us by my brothers mate, and believe it or not the ps3 came from his girlfriend. @rrod654 Nintendo have actually been making consoles since the mid-1970s (as seen in this video). I think I read on some place that Nintendo were involved in the Magnavox Odyssey, or at least one of the early consoles.

Dreamcast was out in 1998 (or 1999 out side Japan) and the PS2 was out well, let's just say the PS2's initial release in Japan was less than 6 months after the American release of the Dreamcast. And the Dreamcast was discontinued in 2002. What does that tell you? 1998-2002 is not a good life for a console. Compare that to the Game Boy and Game Boy Color (1989-2003), even the complete pile of trash called the CD-i lasted longer (1991 - 1998 I think).
for me one of the best consoles are the playstation 3 and the wii, i think that the only thing that the wii needs to inprove is the graphics but either way it's still a very fun console

Sorry, I should have read further before I opened my mouth. I also made the mistake of saying the Atari 2600 was the first home video game console. It was actually the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972(US), 1974 (Europe) and 1975 (Japan). The Atari 2600 was released in 1977 and not 1979. My apologies.

I was born in 1983, and I believe there was a company called Atari, Thry released the first video game console in 1979. It was called the Atari 2600 and the medium was cartridges. Why is there no mention of Sega in this video. Whoever made this video needs to know some history!!

The 2600 was released in 1977, not 1979. Also, the Magnavox Odyssey from 1972 was the first video game console, not the 2600.
