Yeah, it's pretty hard here. You have to drive a stick shift and the exam's pretty difficult. Plus, it kinda all depends on the guy's mood when he has to evaluate you.

In Belgium you have to be 18 in order to try out for the exam. In a way, I think that's good. Otherwise, the parking lots at high school would be packed.

yea i got my DL when i was 15 but now being 26 looking back i am not sure if it is a good ideal for such young ppl to be able to drive... i know me and my friends were not always very safe on the road.. the accident rate of ppl 18 and under is really high.. at 18 i was in a bad car accident that changed my life... i was drinking.. stupid..

Yeah, car insurance prices are insane here when you're just starting out. So I'm gonna hold out on getting my own car for a while. My parents both have cars, so I can stealz them :p

My dad doesn't mind me driving his car though, so that's all good.

Me, i have just recenlty bought a car, an old though a 1996 fiesta.

The thing about driving my parent's car is that i have to be included in the insurance thus making the insurance way too expensive since the engine size is too big. So i decided to stick it out bought a small car to pay the cheapest insurance i can so that i can get the insurance afew years in my name.

They say the first year is the worst after that it gets easier :)

I like driving in Belgium though, especially to Antwerpen/Brussels (at night). The illuminated signs above the road that say 100 are huge! And they really put like 6 of them next to eachother. I was so amazed that I didn't even realize I could only do 100. So I might have done 105. I'm badass.
