I don't really think the Redskins will go that far with the receivers they have...They just drop way too many passes, McNabb isn't the most accurate QB in the NFL but his accuracy is not that bad. Moss dropped a pass on 1st down, Armstrong dropped 2 passes in the red zone, one of their RB/FB dropped a pass, there were maybe 4 more throughout the game which comes out to 8 dropped passes. (These passes were all well thrown, they weren't bad)

It was nice smacking the Cowgirls around on defense though and it will be a great momentum booster for now. But the fact of the matter is I never believed we would have a spectacular offense in the Redskins vs. Cowboys season opener but I knew the defense would come through. As far as McNabb goes, it's still questionable how our offense will be.

For somone to come in on there first start ever and complete 31-51 . 391 yds, and 2 tds on the superbowl champs is incredible. then he went 24-31 2 tds and 0 ints with 323 yards against the chiefs. thats pretty good too. i know its the chiefs but its still and NFL team and it was his second start. They actually RAN THE BALL when Garcia and Feeley were playing and most of the passes were just short passes, if you watched the games you'd know. With McNabb they never run the ball. ALL of their plays are predictable just as Brooking said in an interview last year, he said the Cowboys knew what the Eagles were gonna do. I'm sure you've watched the Eagles vs. the Giants, Pierce would literally yell out what play the Eagles were gonna do, if it was a screen he'd yell "SCREEN!"
Who do you think defenses were focused on shutting down? Chad Lewis was my Nigga i have his Jersey, i fuxs with Greg he had his moments Baskett is a play maker its just his depth on Roster limits him. Reggie Brown was my favorite, back in 2006 when we had stallworth he still managed to grab 8 tds and 816 yards, and they Garcia throwing passes.
LJ "Hands of Stone" Smith was bad, dude would drop passes all the damn time. There hasn't been 1 receiver other than TO that had success with other teams after leaving the Eagles, not a single one. McNabb's ability to evade tackles time and time again led to those receivers getting open.
In 2006 the Eagles totally changed the offense with Garcia, they actually ran the ball that year while just about every single pass was a short pass...
...But once McNabb came back they went to the same old shit again, they totally abandoned the running game, everything was a deep pass for McNabb. Establishing a running game makes a HUGE impact, it keeps the defense honest. Curtis was a 3rd stringer playing aside Bruce and Holt thus his 800 yard season, he had a 1,100 yard season with McNabb throwing to him.
You remember when the Eagles couldn't score in the Red Zone? No running game+WR's built like teenagers=no Redzone Td's.

Kolb is young, players can relate to him better than McNabb, Celek was like his best friend off the field this is why he's popular with the young players. They're rebuilding as well, they even traded their 2nd best defensive player, that 2ndry is horrible right now.
The Eagles got rid of Don because he's getting old, it was now or never and Kolb isn't getting any younger, McNabb was also in his final year of his contract.

@XxHooksxX Before i Answer your question, I have realized that you have contradicted yourself and have been undecided, You called the receivers undersized and 3rd string backups, however you have also said that when other quarterbacks jumped in for #5 they balanced the attack, when so... The receivers have much success so is it the recievers the problem in your mind or the balanced attack? Because you can have one or the other not both and i dont believe its was the recievers.
Both, the lack of running game meant defenses know it's gonna be a pass play every time. The undersized WR's couldn't create separation running down field for the deep ball, none of them possessed really any other skills, furthermore there wasn't a star receiver defenses had to worry about no double coverage on anyone. Guys like Thrash, Maclin, Curtis, D-Jax, T.O, and Celek were successful with D-Mac, they either possessed a lot of speed or size.
Hell, I totally forgot about the failed 3rd down conversions all these years, the last FB before Weaver was Ritchie in 2004, and the last power back was Staley in 03. B-West is a finesse back, he's not even 5'10, his real height is 5'8. This also caused problems for the Eagles' offense all these years, the lack of a FB and power back caused the Eagles to not only fail on a crap load of 3rd down conversions and red zone TD's as well.
@Hooks For Desean, there would be no problem Repeating what he has done last year, however even if he doesnt do as well but still around 900 yards and 7 or a 8 tds which is not out of the question because in both kolbs starts djax got touchdowns out of them with those short effective passes in which case i see no problem with, he doesnt need that to win. But i say reason for lower numbers is cause Maclin will be more experienced and familiar with the playbook, and everyone is eager for ingram.
Also D-Jax does alot for us and I agree with the analysts that in the comming years Jeremy is supposed to be the guy that runs those number 1 routes, not just because hes bigger but b/c Desean is expected to continue the return game and Andy doesnt want him to over exert himself doing both jobs and becoming very injury prone like we did with Westbrook. Did you see the stats I posted from the 6 biggest games consisting of title games, wildcard games, and the Superbowl? If you did you'd know how the defense choked. Not even Tom Brady would've won with those shitty eagle teams. I never said he was an accurate passer, but he's not a terrible passer either. He completed 64% of his passes when he had just 1 good sized receiver named T.O. It's kind of hard when you have guys like Pinkston who are afraid to catch the ball.

Thrash's numbers with McNabb throwing to him: 3 seasons: 164 Receptions 15 TDs 2026 total receiving yards Redskins, a total of 9 seasons: 136 receptions 1620 receiving yards 7 total touchdowns in 9 years. Curtis was a 5'11 180lb 3rd string WR yet he was McNabb's 3rd best receiver of all time. Curtis only had 1 good season with the Rams and that's thanks to Bruce and Isaac, dude was wide open all of the damn time thanks to those two.
Brown had a good season thanks to the Eagles running the ball & short passes, but when McNabb plays that fat fuck Reid never ran the ball nor did he ever have McNabb throw any short passes, it was all deep balls, oh and B-West carried that team to the playoffs. Defenses didn't have to worry about the RB's they knew it was gonna be a pass, Reid runs the most predictable plays in the NFL. He runs the ball on 3rd and 8 and passes the ball on 4th and 1.

I don't really think the Redskins will go that far with the receivers they have...They just drop way too many passes, McNabb isn't the most accurate QB in the NFL but his accuracy is not that bad. Moss dropped a pass on 1st down, Armstrong dropped 2 passes in the red zone, one of their RB/FB dropped a pass, there were maybe 4 more throughout the game which comes out to 8 dropped passes. (These passes were all well thrown, they weren't bad)

It was nice smacking the Cowgirls around on defense though and it will be a great momentum booster for now. But the fact of the matter is I never believed we would have a spectacular offense in the Redskins vs. Cowboys season opener but I knew the defense would come through. As far as McNabb goes, it's still questionable how our offense will be.

Lets put it this way, Kevin Kolb played against the New Orleans Saints and did better than peyton manning did against them in the superbowl, he started two games last year and won 1 and lost the other one to the SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS im glad we are going in to this season with him as a starter, i have more confidence in Kolb than i have had in mcnabb since the 2004 season, its about time Philly, oh isnt this the town that didnt want him to begin with?

Stats mean nothing if you lose because of a lousy quarter back. I think the stats are padded because all those short passes to Westbrook who kicks ass and makes long runs. He was their best player in my opinion. The fact that he thinks running is beneath him, when that is his greatest skill, tells you what kind of guy he is.

They actually RAN THE BALL when Garcia and Feeley were playing and most of the passes were just short passes, if you watched the games you'd know. With McNabb they never run the ball. ALL of their plays are predictable just as Brooking said in an interview last year, he said the Cowboys knew what the Eagles were gonna do. I'm sure you've watched the Eagles vs. the Giants, Pierce would literally yell out what play the Eagles were gonna do, if it was a screen he'd yell "SCREEN!"

If the Eagles are gonna pass, the Defense knows they're gonna pass, if they're gonna run the Cowboys defense knows they're gonna run. Google "Keith Brooking McNabb", you'll see the interview right away, those aren't my words those are from an actual NFL pro.
The west coast doesn't work when you're throwing to WR's that don't belong in the NFL, you need a running game to keep the defense honest

Yep, nothing but a bunch of pro bowl receivers throughout his career, oh wait those are all nothing but 3rd stringers. You don't have to have a star RB but you should at least have a run game. @XxHooksxX First off Lj Smith was pretty decent and well respected around the league. Thrash was always thought highly of in Washington hense the fact they kept him around. Chad Lewis was my Nigga i have his Jersey, i fuxs with Greg he had his moments Baskett is a play maker its just his depth on Roster limits him. Reggie Brown was my favorite, back in 2006 when we had stallworth he still managed to grab 8 tds and 816 yards, and they Garcia throwing passes.

LJ "Hands of Stone" Smith was bad, dude would drop passes all the damn time. There hasn't been 1 receiver other than TO that had success with other teams after leaving the Eagles, not a single one. McNabb's ability to evade tackles time and time again led to those receivers getting open.
In 2006 the Eagles totally changed the offense with Garcia, they actually ran the ball that year while just about every single pass was a short pass...

Establishing a running game makes a HUGE impact, it keeps the defense honest. Curtis was a 3rd stringer playing aside Bruce and Holt thus his 800 yard season, he had a 1,100 yard season with McNabb throwing to him.
You remember when the Eagles couldn't score in the Red Zone? No running game+WR's built like teenagers=no Redzone Td's.

@XxHooksxX And Kevin Curtis when he showed up in 2007 he caught over 1,100 yards that year and had been plagued with injuries ever since, hence the fact they cut him, and like i was saying about Brown, when the bucs traded for him they felt that the reason he lacked stats, was (and i agree with them) was due to his lack of opportunity. Heres my Question to you. If donovan was so important, why was the team so willing to accept Kolb Right away and depart mcnabb? not just the staff but the team?

Kolb is young, players can relate to him better than McNabb, Celek was like his best friend off the field this is why he's popular with the young players. They're rebuilding as well, they even traded their 2nd best defensive player, that 2ndry is horrible right now.
The Eagles got rid of Don because he's getting old, it was now or never and Kolb isn't getting any younger, McNabb was also in his final year of his contract.

@XxHooksxX Before i Answer your question, I have realized that you have contradicted yourself and have been undecided, You called the receivers undersized and 3rd string backups, however you have also said that when other quarterbacks jumped in for #5 they balanced the attack, when so... The receivers have much success so is it the recievers the problem in your mind or the balanced attack? Because you can have one or the other not both and i dont believe its was the recievers.

Both, the lack of running game meant defenses know it's gonna be a pass play every time. The undersized WR's couldn't create separation running down field for the deep ball, none of them possessed really any other skills, furthermore there wasn't a star receiver defenses had to worry about no double coverage on anyone. Guys like Thrash, Maclin, Curtis, D-Jax, T.O, and Celek were successful with D-Mac, they either possessed a lot of speed or size.

Hell, I totally forgot about the failed 3rd down conversions all these years, the last FB before Weaver was Ritchie in 2004, and the last power back was Staley in 03. B-West is a finesse back, he's not even 5'10, his real height is 5'8. This also caused problems for the Eagles' offense all these years, the lack of a FB and power back caused the Eagles to not only fail on a crap load of 3rd down conversions and red zone TD's as well.

@Hooks For Desean, there would be no problem Repeating what he has done last year, however even if he doesnt do as well but still around 900 yards and 7 or a 8 tds which is not out of the question because in both kolbs starts djax got touchdowns out of them with those short effective passes in which case i see no problem with, he doesnt need that to win. But i say reason for lower numbers is cause Maclin will be more experienced and familiar with the playbook, and everyone is eager for ingram.

Also D-Jax does alot for us and I agree with the analysts that in the comming years Jeremy is supposed to be the guy that runs those number 1 routes, not just because hes bigger but b/c Desean is expected to continue the return game and Andy doesnt want him to over exert himself doing both jobs and becoming very injury prone like we did with Westbrook. Maclin & Djax speedy burners, Avant & Baskett slot possession Recievers, Celek and Ingram doing there thing what more could u want from that core

He completed 64% of his passes when he had just 1 good sized receiver named T.O. It's kind of hard when you have guys like Pinkston who are afraid to catch the ball.

Thrash was better on the skins and thats why that brought him back, and Kevin Curtis was brought onto the team because of his success with the Rams. Reggie Brown had his best season in 2006, but that was mainly because, Mcnabb who was hurt(thank god) had Jeff Garcia who stepped in and got us to the playoffs. In my opinion i believe any reciever who had stayed with Mcnabb Really lost great opportunity by being one of his targets.

Brown had a good season thanks to the Eagles running the ball & short passes, but when McNabb plays that fat fuck Reid never ran the ball nor did he ever have McNabb throw any short passes, it was all deep balls, oh and B-West carried that team to the playoffs. Defenses didn't have to worry about the RB's they knew it was gonna be a pass, Reid runs the most predictable plays in the NFL. He runs the ball on 3rd and 8 and passes the ball on 4th and 1.
