A bomb with NO propulsion that still has a range longer than many air-to-ground missiles. That's pathetic?

In this instance destruction of the structure is not the goal. If so the bomb should have been detonated ABOVE the structure. Because the explosion does very little damage really. its all about the shockwave. And by the way, that plane won't be flying any time soon im sure.
Such a bomb weights several hundred Kgs and the warhead is at least several dozen Kgs... Did anyone notice that the superstructure of the plane is still intact in the 8th second, where the blast of the bomb dies out? Planes are built very light, usually of Al and have no armour protection whatsoever.

Like he said. It's a 250 lb. Small Diameter Bomb. Because our laser and GPS seeker technology has gotten so accurate now, what used to take 500 or 1000-lbs. can now be done with only 250. This means less civilian damage in cities. As you can see, it fragged JUST the aircraft. Even the protective arch is still intact.

In this instance destruction of the structure is not the goal. If so the bomb should have been detonated ABOVE the structure. Because the explosion does very little damage really. its all about the shockwave. And by the way, that plane won't be flying any time soon im sure.

There is SOMETHING wrong in this video clip...
Such a bomb weights several hundred Kgs and the warhead is at least several dozen Kgs... Did anyone notice that the superstructure of the plane is still intact in the 8th second, where the blast of the bomb dies out? Planes are built very light, usually of Al and have no armour protection whatsoever.
It probably is due to state propaganda blabla edited, just like everything in the news.

Perhaps this video was to demonstrate the penetration ability, not the explosive ability. For a "How it works" scenario, you really don't need to blow the thing away...clearly it busted through the bunker.
However, I agree that much like the wonderful Patriot Missile (and it's round-off error that resulted in a bunch of our guys getting killed), this is probably propaganda.

If the superstructure would have been destroyed by the 8th second, then you would see huge parts flying around, which you dont. Hence the structure is not as much fucked as you should be.

Like he said. It's a 250 lb. Small Diameter Bomb. Because our laser and GPS seeker technology has gotten so accurate now, what used to take 500 or 1000-lbs. can now be done with only 250. This means less civilian damage in cities. As you can see, it fragged JUST the aircraft. Even the protective arch is still intact.
Still, this is not a bunker buster in the original sense. During Desert Storm we used one that was 4500 lbs. and like 12 feet long to hit Saddam's super-hardened underground bunker

This is a BUNKER BUSTER. It plows thru the thick concrete and detonates after that. The MOAB is an air-burst FAX (fuel-air mixture) weapon that creates an overpressure over a large area - completely different. But if you ever seen a video of it it is quite awesome.

this isnt a bunker buster its a small diameter bomb set in delay fuse mode. a bunker buster is usually 2000lbs while this is only 250lbs.
