There are two ways humans can interact with each other. 1 is coercion by force and 2 is by rational, logical persuasion.

I carry a gun to eliminate, or dissuade, people from choosing option #1. By eliminating their ability to use force, I am causing them to interact with me through logic and reason.

I do not carry a gun because I want to use force, I carry a gun to PREVENT coercion by force. My gun PREVENTS coercion by force. Perhaps that's why the cops are so opposed to armed citizens...

I write letters to the editor quite often. The rule here is that you cannot be printed except once every 30 days.  I use 3 local newspapers in rotation. Anyone on the Internet can submit a letter w/o subscribing or even paying for a stamp, which is what I do.

The majority of the people held in prisons - are not there for toying around with Judge Burke. Lest us not forget - there are many a victim out there of heinous acts - and the people that made them victims gave up any rights they were born into when said crime committed.

I agree with the first part of your sentance, but not the second. It may be the only way to deal with some criminals is to take away their rights, but you should never feel 'in the right' in doing so, afterall the nazis took away the jews rights and they fealt 'in the right' about it.

I don't know - I feel its right that people who kill and rape others are in jail - they deserve nothing. Nazi's....always comes back to nazi's. If this was a nazi state - everyone you see in these protests would have gone up in smoke a long time ago. But they haven't....and the cops usually just stand there with there hands in their pockets - getting cursed, ridiculed and yelled at. Then they go home at night with their families...just like you and I.

Yet during the day they use force to coerce other human beings into behaving the way that their bosses, also human beings, demand they act.

Thing is, humans in their right mind never condone the use of force against other humans. That's why rape, robbery, assault etc. are crimes - it's malum in se. Yet, when a human being puts on a costume, somehow it's now moral for him to use force against other humans who have not damaged another human or their property...you justify this?

Because they have the guns. Sure, they don't have to actually USE the force to get your compliance because you readily comply.

However, were you to contest their right to steal money directly from your paycheck - you would see the force then.

Free is voluntary interactions.

Great Idea Dave, I love the Idea of prisoners spreading Libety ideas in jail. If prisoners start learning the ideas of liberty it could change their lives, and as a bonus make they jailers have to constantly address issues of liberty themselves.
