Then Goldman Sachs and others go into Greece 10 years ago and tell them how to set up "2 sets of books",how to invest in derivatives. which they did in Iceland, Spain, greece AND America as well. Vietnam is different, terrain was the key there.

@Grunt922 also the movie the patriot is an amazing MOVIE, nothing more. not history, not fact. the colonies were not of huge importance to the british, they did not by any means want to loose them but were at the time at war with france and spain, two wars that were more of a threat and closer to home. the colonies were to do with independence not invasion. so the british could not risk sending a load of soldiers who would most likely die on the journey. if they had you would have lost

@Grunt922 you're confusing this movie with history. the majority of the war was fought by the military, not militia. only a minority of battles of any significance were militia. you weren't fighting using guerrilla warfare which is why for the beginning of the war you were loosing. because your generals were mostly british trained they tried to fight in an organized regimented fashion which didn't work as the british were better trained. Vietnam is different, terrain was the key there.
