How do you own a successful restaurant?? I would love to own a successful establishment someday, but I'm REALLY nervous because I hear that it's VERY easy for them to fail..I just want to know..what makes a restaurant successful?? Anyone with experience??
I go to the one in Sherman Oaks every so often. I think the food is pretty good, but can be a bit pricey and add up FAST if you're not careful. The lentil soup is great (if a bit spicy). I made some at home and it came out almost just like theirs! So now I can make the same thing for about 40 cents instead of paying $5 :) The juice menu is a bit disappointing, not much selection. I had something that tasted pretty gross. But the green smoothie they showed in this video is awesome.
yes the video is weird. Not surprising. Leaf is cool. They have some nice raw food. Most of their stuff tastes the same though and the wraps are pretty gross because of the chard. The owner is really strange and I'm ify about buying food from someone like that..but then again he's not really making it. The mexicans in the kitchen are. Juliano is really weird too so there you go. It's good, not amazing but good. That's what makes it cheaper though.
I've heard this place is a lot more affordable than Juliano's Raw, and the food is just as good, if not better. I'm totally going to try and go when I'm in LA next year. ^_^
This place serves wheat products. wheat is not a Raw or Live food Only sprouted wheat can be considered raw and live. Wheat flour and grains are toxic to humans and animals. You have been warned.
They need one in Portland, too. And I do NOT mean Maine. Back in the 1990s there was talk of opening one in Portland but it fell through. So yeah, Orecul42, apparently the Pacific Northwest isn't the only place where there are real raw foodists -- it would seem there aren't even enough here to get a restaurant opened, asshole.
Leaf is really good- but their is no way in hell that Leaf is better than Juliano's. ALL of the stuff on the Leaf menu I can make myself at home pretty easy- Juliano's stuff on the other hand is quite mysterious, and I have no idea how it's made -the Tortilla soup at Juliano's is brilliant- Yes, Juliano is a bit to the pricey side, but it's worth it... Juliano changes his menu frequently as well,
I have been to this restaurant in the San Fernando Valley many, many times! Everything I have had there tastes so, so good. And the best part...it's healthy for you. The Green Lean Scene drink is so yummy...I get it without the cinnamon and it tastes more natural to me. Excellent food and reasonably priced.
The real raw foodist's are in the Pacific Northwest. This fake is adding to much art to his bullshit and anyone can do that. The art we add is organic and locally grown.
..don't worry, I intend to open a raw food establishment in the Uk in the not too distant future. The MAJORITY of food places should be RAW, not the tiny teeny minority. I am very very excited, it will be wonderful :-)
incredibly beautiful everything! i wish some raw restaurants would open here in st louis, mo. we have only one, -eternity deli-, far from my apartment.
great cause/concept.... horrible production/audio....

I love Leaf, wish you'd open up a restaurant in Laguna Niguel -- we have NOTHING but overpriced junk food restaurants here. Please come
to OC!

Rod does NOT use commercial sour cream. Believe me, it's non-dairy and nut-based, probably cashew or macadamia. :)

Hey, at least there is one in your city. There is not one raw restaurant in my whole state. I'm thinking of moving.
