Mr.McCarthy, Where are the jobs you and the GOP promised in your 'Pledge To America". Did you forget about that. Because it was that pledge that gave you back the House. Since then you all have outright lied to the American People. Its not President Obama's job to create jobs, its yours. You control the purse strings, you do the laws, it your job. The GOP needs to work for all Americans, not just the rich. You have intentionally held back any recovery from this recession. And we know it.
Actually Rep. McCarthy, where are the jobs you Republicans have been promising for over 30 years of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans? Oh, that's right, the Republicans shipped them overseas.
Government does not create efficient jobs. This whole jobs issue should not even be spoken of. Just create certainty for four years with guarantees, and then businesses will feel safe to invest and hire. Now they have no idea what their taxes will be and how much insurance tax they must provide for their employees. Only Ron Paul has a huge ideological difference from everyone. That is real change.
TEA PARTY WHERE ARE THE JOBS?! The president is 1 branch of the government. So let me get this straight. THE TEA PARTY GOT ELECTED TO CONGRESS UNDER THE PLATFORM OF JOBS. NOW THEY SAY ITS NOT THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT TO CREATE JOBS. THEN THEY ASK THE PRESIDENT WHY HE HASNT CREATED JOBS? LOL..... WHAT? FYI The republicans IN CONGRESS the TEA PARTY in CONGRESS haven't put forth 1 SINGLE JOBS BILL. Hypocrisy? Government is a joke, republicans and democrats alike. Hey Kevin keep serving up the dish
@BryantTheTyrant Shamelessly ignorant SOB, Tea Party has always been about stopping the Communist spending as we've always known government doesn't create jobs but, your Comrades keep feeding you a lie that you never check. Are you really that stupid or is it just your agenda showing??
@ChipsShot You don't know what Communism is, that much is plainly obvious. Go tell someone from the military that they don't have a real job. That should be good for a laugh, or maybe a funeral. So tell us, why has there not been a single bill to stimulate hiring out of the House? Or are you going to have a shred of integrity and tell us that this Republican is a bald-faced liar?
@buzz851 You see, Republicans secretly, and not so secretly, want a fascist dictator that allows mega corporations to trample all over the rights of their workers, but will make sure that big brother is in every house and every home, dictating how we should live our lives. They have no interest is small businesses, rather they prefer the super rich and will allow monopolies to form that drive out small businesses.
214 days & not one damn jobs bill from the Republican controlled House!
Further, not one Bill at all from McMorris-Rodgers.
Even further, not on open and free-to-constituents, town hall meeting in Spokane, the largest city in McMo-Ro's district - promises made but never kept.
Even further, not *ONE* open and free-to-constituents, town hall meeting in Spokane, the largest city in McMo-Ro's district - promises made but never kept.
u slacked jawed yokal conservatards the gop hasnt put up 1, i
ll say it again not one jobs bill since the 2010 election, so it should say mr boner where are the jobs, or should say where are the jobs bills, u can blame obama but it doesnt change the fact that it was bush & the gop's inept governing that caused this mess.........
Jobs Bills are created in The House, The House is controled by The Republicans, but the Morons who believe in this bullshit propaganda film are too stupid to figure that out. Uneducated People are the Republicans best friend, they create Morons who rant about Liberals Blah Blah LiberalsYakkitty Yak. AHHH! Liberals are under my Bed! Duuuuuh.
The problem with the "social safety net" is it encourages people to not look for work. If you have 99 weeks of benefits, odds are you won't look for work till week 97. The longer you extend benefits, the longer most will stay purposefully unemployed. Is that really too hard to understand? And when obummer kills mines in WV, kills oil in TX, jobs are lost and energy prices go up. obummer is only interested in one job, his!
I'm not so sure we should trust Republicans anymore than we trust Democrats. At least Dems think unemployment insurance must be extended through the recession.
The tea party is bad news when it comes to the unemployed. They would do away with the social safety net.
That doesn't address jobs. IMHO the tea party opposes job creation, and opposes extending unemployment benefits. The only benefits they support are tax breaks and subsidies for the richest 1%.
@amitbarfs ask Jeffrey immelt from GE. Obama's bud. They are all in China. It is absurd to blame the Tea Party when Obama is chummy chummy with GE, one of the biggest exporters of jobs. P.S. the stimulus did not work
I agree that GE is an evil corporation or something, but what plan other than ripping on Obama does the tea party have to sustain job growth and extend unemployment benefits (they run out in a couple months)?
@amitbarfs Umm, some sort of a plan would have been nice from the Democratically controlled govt for the past 2.5 years? They dropped the ball. They and he deserve to be bashed. I would suggest that being so weak as to bend to the Tea Party shows just how unqualified this Pres. is. He is a schill for corporations. i like to call him Bushama.
@edwardv7 Cutting regulation is what caused the Recession and The 90's S&L faliures and Bail Outs which Killed Jobs. but since you're uneducated about basic Economy (Macro Economics 200 level courses), you just repeat what your favoriet TV show tells you about Economics. Look up Glass Steagall Act then go back to school.
One way to free up tens or hundreds of thousands of jobs is immigration enforcement, which I proposed over two years ago:
24ahead . com/n/8902
The Obama-linked group I sent that to never replied.
At the same time, the teapartiers and GOP have also ignored that plan despite how it could get large numbers of Americans working (and despite how hiliting CAP's failure to respond makes CAP look bad).
Yet, the teapartiers/GOP have been silent. I guess they have other priorities or something.
Only to liberals can the audacious act of letting people keep more of their own money through "tax cuts" be considered a cost to the govt... as if it were the govts money in the first place. Insane.
I would be wary of any tea party type exploiting the jobless situation for political gain.
It's all well and good to ask "where are the jobs," but unless you have your own plan for restoring jobs (besides trickle down theory which will not work in a recession where handout recipients rich and poor simply tuck the cash away), it is all just talk.
We need a real jobs project that puts unemployed ppl back to work and provides a greater safety net for those who cannot find jobs.
@fudgemonkey, you need to look to the unrealistic standards of the EPA based on the GoreBull Warning of unproven speculative science, there you will find your answer as to why those jobs go overseas.
Both of you need to stop reading bumper stickers and research the real facts.
