Chamberlain was a wise man, a strong man and at the same time a fool, but in different ways and to different extent than most people understand. Who can blame him for holding out for peace to the end? Afterall, with America isolationist and Russia the way it was, what could Britain do for Central Europe. Nothing! Yet when he finally declared war on Hitler, he didn't attack immediately, while Poland was still able to fight in the east. He threw away the opportunity for a quick victory.
Does anyone know what the piece of music is at 8:30 is? I remember hearing it before in a park when I was very little, and its bugging me that I now don't know what it is!
fun fact that when Russia and Nazi Germany were allies for the brief time, they did many exchanges between them.
a number of Red Army officers & soldiers received training in Germany. Some even learned from Von Paulus (General who led the 6th Army into Stalingrad & defected to Russia)
wow if Hitler would be able to get troops onto England & prolong Barbarossa i wonder what wouldve happened
There were plans to delay `Barbarossa` until `Retribution` was over and invade USSR May 1942. Rommel would have taken Egypt then carried on into Palestine eventually halting at the Caucasus USSR border. Another force would advance to meet with the Japanese over Northern India.
May 1942 Rommel advances into Caucasus USSR and takes the oil-fields of Baku intact and the city of Stalingrad while the rest of the invasion of European USSR is underway. Britain would have been bombed and starved without help and couldn`t have held out.
The summer of 1942 in the East was long and dry thereby giving long enough to destroy the Soviet forces in the field and take Moscow before the winter. Britain would become a Republic with the former abdicated King Edward VIII as its head. T34/KV1 would have been discovered by German spy rings by May 1942 with enough time to up gun the Panzers in preparation.

The British dealt with the threat of Hilter just as only the British could: with a dash and flare like none other.
