I have played many anti-grav racing games: F-Zero GX, Hover Ace, Star Wars Racer (original and Revenge versions), Wipeout Pulse... And I must say that F-Zero GX is the fastest. You have to have good reflexes if you want to play, or you' ll get eliminated soon.

Damn, I need to get the AX cup! I'm sick and tired of playing on the same twenty tracks over and over again! I used an Action Replay to get all of the racers (saved a shitload of time trying to get them legitimately), but there were no cheats for getting the AX cup.

Is the Acro Lynx G4 the best machine to beat Diamond on Master (as well as the other difficulties)?

You can beat it with any ship. If you can get good with the Fat Shark, it's a beast.

IMO I don't like the Sky Horse body, it slips around way too much for me.

My ships are:

Photon Phantom-G4

(Optical Wing, Garnet Phantom, G4)

(Funny Swallow, Sonic Soldier, G4)

Pretty Spear-G4

(Funny Swallow, Bright Spear, G4)

The G4 is one of the better boosters to use. I used to use the Triple-Z but I found that the G4 would have a greater sustained top speed

this happeneds to me alot the reason is that there might be a small crack in the center of the disc the solution for this is to place the disc softly or press and hold the release button while placing the disc it realy helps or cleaning it might work the same

I am not a fan of the Blue Falcon as much as I want to believe. Sure he handles well, but he isnt good for much besides that. I could do better things with slower vehicles than that, like Draq or even Princia.

That guy is Spade. You have to beat all tournaments on Very Hard and you get him I think. The stage you have to beat all tournaments on Master, nearly impossible to do.

Ok, I've managed to do it now - by cheating my arse off using an action replay code for unlimited boost that very handily came on the front of a UK 'cube magazine. Even cheating, finishing Diamond on Master was extremely hard. Original machines are the only way to go.

Its not that hard when you get used to it but it will get frustrating. Best machine to use for going through the game is the Blue Falcon as it doesnt slide as much as the others. You can lay in on the boost with it and stay fairly straight.

I like the way Blue Falcon handles, but it's just too slow in Master. I used an original machine called the Acro Lynx GX, which goes absurdly fast but also handles well, and then used the Fat Shark guy to pilot it, thus taking him out of the race as a rival.

Acro Lynx G4: Body - Sky Horse, Cockpit - Super Lynx, Booster - Titan G4. If you're doing this purely to beat the Diamond tracks on master, then make the Fat Shark guy the pilot to take him out of the competition (he's probably the hardest rival to beat). If you manage to place first in the first four races, you can cruise along and finish Phantom Road in last place and still win the GP. Why take the chance of getting eliminated after all that hard work getting such a points lead?

If that doesn't work, it may be the system. All of my games kept stopping every 3-5 minutes. I had a professional clean them. Nothing different. But when I started playing them on my new Wii, I never had another instance of the sort. On another note, you can just open and close the GC if it gives that message. But if it says the word 'error' then you're doomed. Said it to me every time. *sigh

It took me like 3 months to finish all the cups in Master with All the characters. Howeverm I didn't finish Time Attack (it would take me another 3 months).

This is one tough game to beat!

BTW, knighty, how did you manage to record your f-zero gameplay onto your computer? What software did you use? I have a TV tuner card on my PC with TV In and Out plugs. I'd like to post some of my Gameplay showing me winning every GP in master with 500 points: 1st place each time.
