Maybe they are in shock of the complete wonder that is Dredg. When I saw them live the crowd was mosty not aware of who they were but a few measures into the first song they were all captivated..lol

Don't get me wrong, I respect Tool. I believe they're a great creative force but I just personally believe bands such as Dredg, The Mars Volta, and King Crimson appeal to me more than they have. However perhaps my initial comment was unfair. I will fully listen to one of their albums and decide afterwards.

i can agree with you. but they are really talented and smart with their music. cause not the whole cds are songs, some are interludes and just are annoying. but if i could suggest an album, i think lateralus is the best one. sorry to anyone if i spelt it wrong.

I agree. Tool is definatly one of the greatest bands ever. But it does kind of get annoying with those filler tracks like "Cesaro summability" and "Useful Idiot".

i found out dredg 5 months ago. since then, i can't stop listen it to it.

it's one of the few bands nowadays able to create an incredible psycodelic atmosphere. they're music is unique. same happens with tool, another inimitable band.

i also dig bands like strata. shame that eric victorino quitted...

i didn't know dredg, when i listened to "bug eyes" for the first time in that pub from stockholm. didn't know what the name of the band was... next day, when snooping at strata's myspace, I saw "dredg" as one of their influences. so I got in dredg's myspace and I found out that the song I had listened to the night before belonged to the band "dredg" :-D

by the way, it seems like beta state is gonna be a good one too!
