I'm usually not one to call for professional training, since I've personally received no such guidance and have held my own against several individuals who have, but I think in this case it may be best. I am not trying to be cruel, but this looks worse than my first time sparring, at the age of 14. It's not irreparable though. Some people just need more guidance than others. Or perhaps you've just done ABSOLUTELY no personal research into the subject? As it is, you ARE using sticks.
We hadn't spared in awhile, and we were just warming up really.
On top of that, we have to use sticks, because there's been about five times when we would get police coming because neighbors reported fighting, and if we had possession of the swords while we were there, it would not go well.
I didn't mean you should use swords. Use shinai, or even bokuto, if you want to really spice things up. Even masters don't normally spar with swords. And the cops can't do anything to you for sparring with shinai or bokuto. It'd be as stupid as them trying to arrest someone for playing soccer because it 'disturbs the peace', or confiscating a football from someone. It's just not within their jurisdiction if you claim you're practicing kendo--it's a sport like any other. Less broken bones too.

I call this a waste of time, go take kendo classes if your so inclined to use sword type movements, THEN make a sparring video.
