People who study psychology actually study matter that's relevant to subjects such as memory. That includes ways how to make sure matter is being transfered to long term memory and what-not.

If you think all of this is wrong and if you think people cannot associate multiple environments and senses (It's called synesthesia in case you wouldn't know), try to falsify all of it.

P.S.: Before you think I'm not being sceptical, I only employ methods that actually do work.

I've got on of the best methods: I write songs with the teksts I have to study. And when you sing them like 10 times in 20 minutes you'll know everything you have to study. The only problem is that it takes almost an hour to write the songs XD

Having music playing is usually crucial I've found, except for studying anything mathematical - it requires total 'in the zone-ness' ^^

I have my laptop on too, though it does end up a bit of a distraction! You..tube...

Talking to friends online about the course is an excellent way to revise literature based work I found, like History and English. Gotta have some good breaks to have fun in too though! =)

This year I had to lern a lot of history of Britain and the USA and for me it helped not to learn all the facts and dates in a row but to get a general idea of everything and than go more and more into detail..
