  • I wish there were more midwives like this one!

  • The nurse was no help at all...beautiful birth congratssss

  • I'm 14 right and I would like a child. Dies it hurt cus most videos are women screaming and some are women relaxing and giving birth painfullessly !!!!

  • @CrazyFrootie The key is becoming educated! Every woman's experience is different and if you take a birthing class it will help you immensely! I am taking a Bradley Birthing class and the woman in the video did hypnobirthing from what she has commented to people. I cannot speak for hypnobirthing but I know my Bradley Method class helps a woman get informed and physically and mentally prepared. That truly is the key to finding that answer for yourself! As you learn more, birth becomes less scary.

  • To tell you the truth I actually it was kinda gross how you were holding the pussenta

  • My new baby sister was just born on June.4

  • this mother will forever be empowered

  • That is so cool u did good mo screaming nought amazin well done congrats to all xx

  • wow. congrats ..

  • Beautiful! Hypnotic, just watching..I had mine naturally, at home but was 29, and 25 yrs.ago.Twin in hospital w/out intervention, 25 yrs.ago.& nearly delivered in the hydro tub but of course not not an option then. What a beautiful birth you had, indeed! Thanks for sharing this!

  • wow how amazing! i've always wanted water births but never did the research on it... but i love your video and the wounderful feeling it must be to touch your baby yourself for the first time.. congrats

  • congrats and what a cute baby

  • Wow! That is very inspirational! How did you give birth with so little apparent pain?

  • is the baby fine...?

  • amazing!

  • yay what a cute baby and congratz to the parents

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, the more we show our births, the more we change the misconceptions about natural birth with midwives.

  • I've had two sons naturally but you are something else lady, you are a real inspiration and have never seen anything like it in my life, well done supermum.x

  • wow....gud job

  • A few tips towards achieving a gentle birth like this one. Waterbirth, a positive mind set, confidence, relaxation, an upright birth position, a calm and comfortable environment. How important was Mommas state of mind during this birth? How long was the labor? Were there any tears?

  • beautiful. you should be very proud of yourself mum for birthing such a gorgeous lil girl. Who said you needed midwives lol. Cannot wait to be a midwife myself, def inately love the hands off approach. You are an inspirtion to the female's in the UK. :) x

  • Even Kim Kardasian, I don't know how to spell it, is calm during her labour and birth.

  • See, why can't all women just be like that. The other videos I view have women screaming...and I'm like...Oh my God!!!! But you and some other women who seem very calm and super focused on the fact that you are having a baby. I don't know if it is doctors that scare women or if we all seriously have different pain tolerances.

  • At what point do you suction?

  • @codystaub there is no longer any recommendation to do routine suctioning of baby. This is according to the latest guidelines from American Academy of Pediatrics. Baby will cough and swallow the fuilds.

  • BEAUTIFUL! Homebirth is wonderful. I loved hearing Daddy when the baby is born. He sounds so happy. Congratulations. Can't wait til my next!

  • WOW!! not one single scream im amazed you made the birth look so painless and easy

  • wow

  • As a women about to have a baby (no, really, I mean just about. I'm in early labor) I have to say I'm really debating all of this. I had drugs with my first, a lot of interventions and such, and I am thinking about having a natural birth this time around with as little help as possible. I am going to have my baby at the hospital because I've had high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, and a couple other minor problems, but this was absolutely inspiring!

  • What a beautiful, beautiful birth. Thank you for sharing it with us! I'm a mum of 3 boys and still enjoy watching the miracle of birth. I wish I had filmed one of mine xxx

  • inspirational - so good to see this after all the birth horror stories I constantly hear, which sound more like a result of stressful hospital environment and lack of the necessary preparation.

I had my 1st meeting with a hopital midwife this week and it was horrible - she told me I couldn't even consider a water birth as it's my 1st, but I don't think this is correct - is it?

  • beautiful.....

  • i smiled and got teary eyed watching! I almost went this way, but chickened out.....now i wish i did. I can remember my great aunt telling me how she delivered her kids 60 years ago, and that was in her living room, and if a gal was lucky, the local doctor might make it over to your house in time to help out. Thanks for sharing your beautiful video.

  • blessings mom

  • AWESOME JOB! She soooo adorable!

  • This is amazing. We will be doing a natural childbirth in February. Do you have any tips, advice?

I heard hypnobabies was great help to some woman.

  • @kristy349 have you ever had a home/water birth???

if yes, you obviously didnt have a good experience, if no, then perhaps you shouldnt comment....

Great job! I had a water birth & now I wish I had caught my daughter! Well Done!

  • @kristy349 Yeah, you don't know much about birth do you? I know it's a topic that takes a little REAL looking into, and I really hope you do that. But, to address the points you brought up that many have....

Shit does come with birthing and it's easily removed

The baby is pushing fluid out of it's body not in.

If you want to talk about safety, look at the studies, and you'll see hospital is NOT safer, even though this video could have easily been a hospital birth as many now have birthing tubs.

  • I LOVE this. So beautiful!!

  • This is amazing ^_^

  • wow...that was beautiful...must be quite a feeling to catch your own angel...congrats!

  • beautiful very serene and calm congrats

  • So sweet!!

  • im trying to find the cds or package for hypnobirthing could you tell me the name of the cds you used ? Thanks !

  • @ajeanhaugen hypnobirthing aka the Mongan Method. Book with CDs available on Amazon.

  • This inspires me so much, I have been researching the difference between hospital and midwife birthing. Yesterday, I found out I was pregnant which rushed me to research even harder. My fiance works at FL Hospital and claims it'd be more convenient for him. However, for my safety (and sanity), I am choosing a midwife.

  • what about you know..the poo?

When my mum give birht(and she did not scream u.u) she also poo, because of own pregnancy, and also, blood and amniotic liquids, and all of that.

    Where is that? @.@

Cause if it's in the water, i mean..doesn't get the baby sme ind of..infection or soemthing like that??

  • Women should look into natural waterbirth. It is painless compared to barbaric hospital births.

Hospitals simply don't know how to assist birth properly. There is no need for the incredible pain that hospital births cause.

  • @Purushadasa

    that's not true u.u

my mum give birth me,my sister and my brother in ahospital, and she didn't scream, she did not feel pain either.

But she had us there because if soemthing happens with the baby, you can asist it. in you home, you cant not.

so, don't talk if ou didn't have a baby.

  • @bordduciel Wrong.

At home, you can also assist the baby -- what is the difficulty?

Also, it is the experience of ALL women who have tried it both ways that home waterbirth is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH less painful.

It also happens to be much, much, much safer for the mother and the baby.

  • OMG, that was precious! This WAS a peaceful birth. I just saw another where the dear mom was screaming her head off! It was a blessed event too, but less peaceful than this. Belated congratulations.

  • wow!

I am 20 weeks, just found out I am having a boy.

I've considered a water birth because it looks so peaceful. What an incredible experience, I can't believe how easy you made it look. Congrats :)

  • I like the guy in the back going like "hahaha awwwe" so cute.

  • o my goodness... im 30 weeks pregnant and have been debating on natural birth or hospital you made that look soo easy... but other videos like this, the women are screaming, kinda scared me... whats your secret? LoL

(i have tears in my eyes right now, what a wonderful experience that must of been to catch your own baby)

  • @MissAugust2009 Hypnobirthing aka the Mongan Method

  • @MissAugust2009 Also know that in a water birth, the water matches your body temp so you (and your baby) will be comfortable and for the first time in months you can move freely, instead of trying to turn over like a beached whale.

My dd,7 was born in England in a hospital while my DS,4 was the first baby in our county born at home in a birthing pool. You don't get wheeled to other rooms, you aren't living out of a suitcase getting hospital meals but instead you are comfortable in your home.

  • wow. you are amazing! :) you and your beautiful baby

  • beautiful :)

  • beautiful - thanks for sharing

  • Wow! I love that...The dads reaction was priceless....

  • Beautiful and very moving, i'm thinking this is the way to go

  • Wonderful!

  • very calm in labor... I don't know how people can be loud? I too was 'placid' in labor until my baby passed thru the birth canal...

    congratualtions!

  • this happened to mee...

i did not know i was pergnant...

any tips would be appricated on breast feeding!!!!!

  • @jlrsmiles wow :O congratulations though?

  • am speachless. I hope I can do it like this.

  • hows shes done??whoaa...eager to give birth like her..

  • i dont understand how you are not screaming from the pain?

  • It's not hollywood,It's home birth!!!

I've had 2 and am planning another! Turns birth from an endurance to a triumph!! There is nothing better..........

  • Im a student midwife in NZ and i ahvnt seen this before!! well done! what a beautiful birth!!!

  • I'm a student midwife in the UK and I thought that was absolutely amazing! That would never happen here and that is such a shame, I would love to facilitate women doing something like that!!!

  • @izzerie It does happen in the UK, you've been working with the wrong midwives! Remember this when you're practising yourself!

  • Wow.... I agree KRNbutterflies. SHe made that look WAY too easy! lol Congrats!

  • She is adorable. Good job. When I was born I was only 3 pounds and .08 ounces. By the was I m 13

  • @kestelle21 I had a waterbirth but it was with assisteds

  • Aah beautifull so natural well done

  • my gosh..i couldn't even imagine doing all that. i think im a strictly hospital birth kinda girl.. i couldn't imagine not only having so many people in the room, but catching you're own baby as it came out! wow.

  • aaahh!!! you didnt even scream!!!

    good job!

  • I wish I could have had a water birth. This looks beautiful. Hopefully next time. :)

  • i might have a waterbirth if i ever decide to have kiddies :D

  • she sure made that look easy!!

  • oh my god that was amazing well done.

  • water birth videos always seem to show mom coping very well with the pain of labor, I know whenever I am tense or uncomfortable I get right into the nice hot tub and I relax right away, so likely the water helps! Also: I love dad in the background being in total awe.

  • That is beautiful. I'm doing a waterbirth too. This makes me know I made the right choice. You did great!!!!!

  • men are lucky for they dont give birth and dont feel the pain of giving birth but its a beautiful sight to see a new life

  • not every woman feels pain though. neither of my aunts on my fathers side felt anything and they had their children naturally. it really depends on the mothers mindset as to whether she feels pain or not. you should check out orgasmic births.

  • how long was the labour?

  • You go girl you did very well. Bless you and your new baby.

  • Wow, that looked so painless. Does water births help with the pain?

  • that was AMAZING! you did so well!

how did you handle the pain?

(im 5 months and i totally want a water birth! )

  • Hi, I'm 7 weeks second child. I wasn't able to follow through w/ the waterbirth first child, however the soaking, breathing and staying home helped a ton! He was sunny side up "O.P" So it was good we went to the hospital, but I suggest if you're using a midwife to stay home as long as u can cause theyl try to give u drugs the moment u walk in! Just make sure your midwife keeps track of the progress in diolation

  • WOW that was beautiful almost made me cry.

how did you handle the pain so well?

  • amaizng!

  • Beautiful...but it it all so easy???

  • that was so cool!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • that was awesome! what a wonderful midwife to stand by you and let you experience delivering your own baby... that was beautiful! congratulations!

  • Awesome JOB and you held the pain pretty good.

    Congratulations

  • incredible

  • all births should be like this

  • aww this is amazing!!

    :D

  • nice catch

  • Omg that made me cry. Its so precious! The touching moment of when mother meets her child for the first time is the most touching thing.

  • You make it look easy!

  • BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE

    SO BEAUTIFUL

  • Beautiful.

Blessings to all of you and especially your new dear one.

  • That was so amazing

  • Great job mama! You were so calm! Isn't waterbirth awesome? :) My second son was born into water into my hands, but I wasn't nearly as peaceful as you - I roared like a lion on steriods! LOL!

  • well done ... enjoy it ... may u be blessed with love and wisdom to raise him\her.

water birth makes birthing much more easy and is not so hard to coop with and is cleaner and u wont have to be in a room with knifes

    its a peaceful thing

  • wow u souljah!! i wish mine is half as easy congrats darls

  • Oh my God, that is awsome, Congratulations!!!! WELL DONE

  • oh my god! That seemed so easy! lol. If only it was that easy!

  • oh my god that actually made me cry, wow. Well done you

  • And I'm a male and I thank it is sweet

  • Very sweet /4lilesista this is very sweet you don't know anythange about birth

  • Very beautifull, made me cry

  • That was so awesome!!!!! I hope that when I give birth is just like that!! thank you for sharing.

Btw my opinion of the high cesarian rate, I think in part it has to do with convenience for both the doctor and the mother, some women I've met dont want to go through the (sometimes) very long and painful labor and dont want the possible trauma to the pelvic floor. 3rdly Imho people nowdays dont see csections as the major surgery it really is.

  • How awesome! Great job birthing your baby! I'm planning a waterbirth for this (our 4th) baby and my dream is for it to happen like yours. Thanks for sharing!

  • CONGRATS! This is one of the best tributes to the natural process I have ever seen!

  • what a wonderful grace

  • why are you in water? is that okay for the baby?

  • Great job! Thank you so much for sharing. I will share this with my clients.

  • That was beautiful. Thankyou for sharing.

  • That's the most beautiful birth I have ever seen.

  • is it less painfull this way ?

  • this is a great waterbirth video. I'm doing a waterbirth in november i can't wait to have my little girl in my arms : )

  • wow.. just slid out... seemed less painful in a water bath congrats :)

  • Thanks a million for sharing this wonderful video. It's very reassuring to know that birth can and is a natural and empowering moment. Not the scary screaming scenes tt popular media depicts. :) Much appreciated. Cheers!

  • wow that looked easy

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mu husband and i are expecting and we are booked in for a water birth, i just showed him your video- the first birth he's ever seen and he was amazed! thank you for posting. it was beautiful.

  • that was so beautiful! you make it look easy, now i want to have a baby :)

  • Wow she made that look easy! and painless!

Lol @ the guy laughing in the background.

    Peyton is a lovely name.

  • I'm much more frightened of hospital births. I at first wanted a c-section but I had a dream that turned me against hospital births...I want to have this bond with my baby and I don't want anyone to take it away.

  • How adorable, beautiful birth, great job mama! may God Bless you all!

  • whoa! amazing. how could you look so calm?? didnt it hurt or something? seriously...you are one amazing woman.

how were you feeling when you were doing that? is the pain less when ur delivering more than labor? i want to give my husband a child so much but i was just so scared with hospital births. now i'm inspired to give water birth a try after i saw this vid. :)

  • You sound like a very good girlfriend/wife :) best wishes for you and your husband

  • that was awesome!

  • wow i would love to have had water birth with my 2 children but was too scared. you were so brave well done.x

  • you took it like a true champ omg im so scared of having my baby i cant decide how to have it =[ im only 4 months pregnant ..

  • that was amazing :))

  • Wow, so serene and calm mom was.

  • omg that is incredible i hope im that calm when it comes time to deliver

  • oh my god she was so calm and cool about it.....wow....

  • Wow... That was quick O_o

No where nearly as bad as they make out on tv

  • Beautiful! Made me cry. :-)

  • I love waterbirth! I had a ten pound son without a tear underwater. it was wonderful. not as quiet as this woman, but still amazing! I love this video, it's especially wonderful that it's a first time mom. I wish I had been aware of the option of waterbirth the first time around!

  • midwife is useless in this case she just take pics but the pregnant woman do all job

  • i wouldnt have a kid because of the pain tearing and people looking down there but i might have a water birth

  • OMG! I can't wait to do this! So beautiful....How soothing and comforting.

  • If it's always like that for a woman, then why not all women do a water birth?

  • Because hospitals say that giving birth at home is dangerous, which isn't true. They loose money when women learn that birth doesn't have to be the nightmare that hospitals make it out to be.

  • AMEN!

  • Sometimes there are compications that happen with the baby or the mom where they need to be out of the water and laying on a bed so they can quickly get the help they need. And because if you have a water birth you can't have an epidural, and some women are afraid to have their babies naturally.

  • wow...no screaming...beautiful

  • this is my dream birth congrats to you and the beautiful baby!!

  • She doest even look like she is in pain

  • that video was cute how the mother just caught her own child i think every mother to be should be able to do that. I can't wait for my little angel to come to this world

  • that is soooooo beautiful <3

but, wouldnt a water birth, like, drown the baby?

  • yeah... they actually drown before their born... in the ambiotic fluid.

    O.o

  • im just curious

  • The baby is surround by fluid in the uterus (womb). While in the uterus it recieves it's oxygen through the umbilical cord. It continues to get oxygen outside of the uterus through the cord for 5-7 min. As long as the cord has not been cut the baby will be fine under water. A good midwife/doc will wait 12 minutes before cutting the cord. Water births are great because the baby is brought into the same comforting atmosphere as they were in the uterus and it prevents tearing.

  • oh okay i didnt know that thank you

  • no... they float around in air... there's zero gravity in there.

  • y werent u at the hospitals?
