I am a doomsday prepper ( I am 12 years of age) BUT I am not like these people. My family is ready for an economical collapse. We have stored enough food for 15 days and enough water for 22 people for 15 days. We think that the shit hits the fan sometime or another. Our bug-out is taking the railroad up to the mountains and living in tents, we fish and hunt with 22 rifles and spears. I have been practicing since I was little and I know that I will be a kid that will pull this country together.
I am not a doomsday person but I do think it wise to get off the grid and count on oneself for the future. I think we are moving to a resource based economy so the transition may not be fun. Otherwise I rather die if some stuff they say happens like a solar flare because there will be 73 reactors just in the US melting down. Better to work for the RBE so these things can be prevented using technology and a new system as well as being sustainable.
"doomsday comes"...well...im starvin...hey, I think i'll go through the houses of the obese people and get some buddies to kill whoevers inside...seriously, people dont think about underground that much...so many fatties think it's ok to have to undergound boarded up placed...only lots of food and showing off...see where that will get you...

If they are the only one's in the neighborhood with food, water, gas and power, and meanwhile everyone is living in the dark, they will get raided. And then they get out of breath and get lost in the forest.

I lost my job and have discovered it is impossible to have enough money to buy meat if your entire income is an EBT card. People have been losing jobs for thousands of years. If you don't want to be on welfare, I know a dozen businesses that are hiring... tech jobs and physical labor jobs. Go get one.
@culwin The economy is on life support. It is propped up by stimulus. When those stimulus dollars eventually make it into the market it causes rapid inflation. This process has been repeated over and over. It is most noticible in the size of a jar of jelly or pretty much any good you get from wallmart. You pay the same price but get less. Thus the money is worth less. And it is out there for people to see that the dollar is dyeing and if it were not for stimulus it would collapse.
@andrewsheldonreeves but you see the problem is that every time more dollars are printed it kicks the ecomomic meltdown a little down the road. but every time the ecomomy is bailed out more and more has to be printed to acomplish the same goal. Because the currency is backed by the air it is promised on it's only real value is scarcity. It is a fact that this printing and inflation can not go on forever. And I believe it is in my best interest to become self relient.

@MrUSA96 I agree. But the trendy new age generation doesn't get it. Government will not be there to feed them when real disaster strikes. They think 1 weeks worth is all the food they need. 3 months worth really is the bare minimum along with a semi-auto .22 and 5,000 rounds ammo.

@thegoodlocust shotgun kill deer. when ammo runs out a compound bow works just as good. gardening is great most places in the south. There are plenty of things you can do to effect your survival. If it could be just one then buy 2 semi auto .22 cal rifles such as the ruger 10/22 and 10,000 rounds of ammo. Call it a $500 life insurance policy for you and your friends. those 25 round magazines work wonders and a .22 goes in and tumbles causeing it to transfer all it's energy.

@culwin The economy is on life support. It is propped up by stimulus. When those stimulus dollars eventually make it into the market it causes rapid inflation. This process has been repeated over and over. It is most noticible in the size of a jar of jelly or pretty much any good you get from wallmart. You pay the same price but get less. Thus the money is worth less. And it is out there for people to see that the dollar is dyeing and if it were not for stimulus it would collapse.

Because the currency is backed by the air it is promised on it's only real value is scarcity. It is a fact that this printing and inflation can not go on forever. And I believe it is in my best interest to become self relient.

I think there's a heck of a lot more honor in preparing to take responsibility for one's own health and well-being than sitting back and waiting for someone else to help out. If it could be just one then buy 2 semi auto .22 cal rifles such as the ruger 10/22 and 10,000 rounds of ammo. Call it a $500 life insurance policy for you and your friends. those 25 round magazines work wonders and a .22 goes in and tumbles causeing it to transfer all it's energy.
