Tough question - how do you define "see"? You might walk through a neighborhood for days not seeing anything other than the surface. On the other hand, to get a first impression and to find out what's different compared to other neighborhoods, 1 day is a good measure. I'd say, exploring the Village with all its subtleties takes a lot longer than e.g. the Park Avenue region.

thanks for asking - it's part of a location called "Chelsea Market" which has been transformed from the original Oreo cookie factory into a market offering all kinds of "delicatessen" in an environment that retains the industrial look of the 1913 factory. It's a nice way to refuel when exploring NY.

Was the first boat the staten island ferry or some other boat?

The Staten Island ferry is a yellow boat - the boats you see in my video are those that travel to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
