The gut feeling I got when I was finally nudged in empty space 10000 feet in the air was above awesome. @W4rcrafter Not gay. That was just a tiny drogue chute that he deployed at the beginning of the jump. It's necessary for safety, stability, reliability and velocity control. The drogue chute helps to open the main chute later. It also slows down the fall of the tandem jumpers. Without the drogue chute, they couldn't have hi5ed the cameraman because the tandem jumpers have a higher mass to drag ratio and would fall faster w/o it.

But to answer ur questions skydiving does NOT feel like a roller coaster. it feels very much like sticking ur hand out the window while driving fast...on ur whole body. its very pleasant. But the thrill of skydiving (and the fear other ppl might have) is the fact that u see the ground coming at u at 200 mph. I enjoyed it so much and would do it again!!!!

Skydiving is something not easily done. It takes courage to leap out of the plane at 5000 feet. But its for the hell of it. When you fall, and fall. When you spin and laugh in a mix of fear and excitement when you pull your chute and know your safe when your feet touch ground again. That extreme feeling. There is nothing like it in the world. And the crappy tube diving is just a simulation. That is for people who don't have the balls to jump from the sky.
