I love that you covered this using a fretless -- sounds great! Sting used fretless on MANY of the old Police classics and this is a nice cover indeed.

its harder for people who are used to frets because you can be off by a little bit and make a difference on fretless defianatly dont take anything away from Fretless players
I play A fretless and a fretted bass i know the advantages and dis advantages
Even with its plastic tuners I prefer my lovely Cort C4FL than any Musicman... Strung it with d'Addario and play with a 3mm pick.... lovely MM sound, more subtle though.

For my Music Man, I use flat heavy gauge strings. You want to avoid roundwound at all costs, as they'll destroy the neck over the time.

@Coppolabass Try the Wilkinson v96 if anywhere has it. It should cost around £160 - £180. Its not as good as a musicman but it does sound great
