While there is some truth to that, State fans neglect why it is true. NC State, at that time, couldn't compete with Carolina in football. So they decided to invest heavily in the basketball program. So I would argue that UNC football is the grandfather of ACC basketball.

and I can still look at my newspaper from the championship game with Ty Lawson and Roy on the front that reads, "HEEL STOMPING". because we are still the defending champs, waiting to be dethroned unfortunately, but that hasn't happened yet, and we dont know who will do it, cus I'm not sold on Kansas or anybody else for that matter. but Syracuse is looking better than everyone else at this point in time, but we'll see

But, to say that UNC is better overall, is bullshit. We have more wins than you, higher winning percentage than you, more tourny appereances than you, more 16, elite 8 appereances than you, and titles than you do.
You guys won last year. Yeah. But, to sit there and tell me exactly what will happen to UK in the future, is impossible.

I'll just say this...personally,I think UNC is the best because of how they have done what they have done...no probations,scandals,kids that cant read,etc...calipari and memphis come to mind....and now UK will eventually have to deal with his stuff as well....to me the only team that even compares to UNC is the Wooden lead UCLA teams with 11 NC's but they did that in era where they had ALLLL the talent and everyone else was just so-so...UNC has had to do it lately in much more athletic arena.

Luck had nothing to do with this year's tournament run for UNC. We kicked everyone's ass by at least 10+ points each time out. Loserville got their butts kicked by Michigan State.
