I think Manu did great defense on that. You know why? Because Manu cut off one lane to the basket, forcing Kobe to go left which is where Duncan was. I actually do that sometimes because I trust my help defender, and it also helps to avoid foul trouble.

We all could see the degree of difficulty Kobe had to twist his body in mid air to bang that lay up in. The only problem is Duncan, the help defender froze.
